goose2125 Posted October 27, 2012 Share Posted October 27, 2012 Ok i have read back quite a few pages about the witness gold in a 9mm not running worth a crap but alot of the posts were quite old.I am wanting to know if they or anyone have gotten them to run or should i just stick with an STI ? kneelingatlas Posted October 27, 2012 Share Posted October 27, 2012 Like you I did a ton of research on the Gold Team 9mm, I also sent messages to anyone I could find; the consensus was that the old mag design was a problem, but the new mags (unfortunately I don't know when the switch occurred) but reliable 170mm mags have to be custom built (I think Henning is making them. goose2125 Posted October 27, 2012 Author Share Posted October 27, 2012 im looking at it like the EAA is a grand cheaper than the STI SM but it does not have the cmore or the mount so am i just better off going with sti since all of the reviews i have read says it will actually run ? Rick88 Posted October 27, 2012 Share Posted October 27, 2012 Some factory STI's may run 100%, but most don't, especialy in open. Thats why many gunsmiths in this sport have jobs. But once they are enhanched, they are fantastic guns. I hate to say this, but the only out-of-the-box factory gun with mags that will run 100% in open is the Cz Checkmate.
