Shooting weakhand

Just want some clarifications or assurance that it's alright as per the rules.

Unless it's really specified in the stage description to use only the weakhand, you can use the stronghand to pickup the gun and do a transfer to the weakhand prior to shooting, right?

Yes, the rules even allow you to use your strong hand to clear jams...as long as you pull the trigger with the weak hand trigger finger...acctually quiet nice, come to think of it

The relevant rules are:

8.2.3 A course of fire must never require or allow a competitor to touch or hold a handgun, loading device or ammunition after the "Standby" command and before the "Start Signal" (except for unavoidable touching with the lower arms).

8.2.4 A course of fire must never require the competitor to draw a handgun from the holster with the weak hand.

dang! i misunderstood the "unless expressly specidfied" part! got a PE instead when i used the strong hand to assist during weakhand pick-up off a table at yesterday's match!
