Carlos Posted January 3, 2005 Share Posted January 3, 2005 With the advent of new/inexpensive AR mags, there seems to be less interest in upgrade parts for old magazines (the last post was Sept. 10 - 3 days before the ban expired on 9/13/04). However, a relaible 40 rounder still seems elusive; anyone try these new followers in a 40 round mag body with the correct Wolf 40 round spring? The new follower needed a little massaging to get through the floor plate front retaining tabs (Sterling) since they are not located at the exact same spots as the new USGI mags. A new 40 rds. IMSI spring also went in. 39 rounds capacity with a little room to spare. Everything worked as before, the new follower is just a little extra insurance, I guess.
