AR-15 Buffer Action Spring

Is there any difference in the effect an action buffer spring's weight ( Strength ) has on recoil of an AR-15 ? Being a huge 1911 handgun fan I cannot help but to tinker with my new AR-15 in quest of advantages, improvements etc.

The action spring in an AR-15 plays a much bigger role than its counterpart in a 1911. Changing the spring will most likely lead to an unintended consequence such as short stroking (heavier spring) or failure to feed (lighter spring). All of the parts in the operating system need to be considered before changing anyone of them.
