Flexmoney
If you are only going to shoot jacketed or plated bullets (not plain lead) then buy a box of Q-tips and a tooth brush. A shop rag or an old t-shirt rounds out the kit. A do use a bore-snake from time to time. Mostly to make sure there are no spider webs or lent balls in the barrel. But, it also serves to give the chamber a little bit of attention. With jacketed bullets, the bore of the barrel doesn't need messed with. By the way...many around here use Brian's Slide Glide. (there have been a number of threads on cleaning over the years...try the search page out)
C6 Guy
Flex, Thanks for the info, I think I have everything I need for a cleaning kit that you described. I did order a bore-snake and some FrogLube and yes I will only be shooting FMJ's. I also went to YouTube and found several videos on cleaning and lubing which will help a lot. Thanks again for the info, much appreciated.
