G34 replacing sights question

Hi all,

Been lurking around to read but it's my first time posting. I will be getting a G34 (gen 3) soon and want to change out the sight with 10-8 rear sight which i have on my current G19. I was wondering what front sight height I need. I'd like to have it shoot poi/poa as my other glock which has .225 tritium from ameriglo.

Anyone use 10-8 rear on their G34?

I would put the sight you have on it and shoot it and see where it hits. Then use the sight height formula dawson has and determine the exact size to order for you

10-8 makes a cost effective sight in kit. If you haven't already ordered your rear sight just order it at the same time.

1) Fit the rears to the pistol.

2) Establish your desired load. It will still group tightly, even if the front blade is too tall or short, so you can do this without worrying about POA/POI.

3) Shoot a group from rest at 15-25 yards.

4) Use this tool.

5) Measure your current front sight, and add or subtract the difference given to you by the above link.

6) Buy and install that front sight.

7) ???

8) Profit.
