Mifune326
I recently read about the "Enos Notch" (shaped like a pyramid with the top cut off) that someone had cut into their rear sight on one of the forums here. Does anyone have a pic they can post of this notch? Thanks! Chris
benos
That was an experiment from back in the dark ages. I had to hand file the notch though - massive PITA. Especially every time I got a new gun or sight. The idea was - with the notch wider at the bottom, you could "see through" the sights a little better, which might permit more accurate shooting when you were aiming close to the top of a barricade or no-shoot. But although, like a lot of "sight tricks," I didn't feel the wider rear notch itelf made for more accurate shooting. Fast, accurate shooting results from seeing properly: find / see the exact aiming spot on the target before the sights get to it. be

Mifune326
BTW Brian, when are we all going to get a companion DVD for "Practical Shooting, Beyond Fundamentals" out of you? I'm sure countless folks on this forum would love to that under their Christmas tree one of these years! hahaha All the best, Chris
