Mo Hepworth
Does anyone have a picture or pictures of the front of the extractor that they had dressed/filed/ polished to get reliable feeding? Just do not want to over due it. I fitted a .38 Super top end to my .40 Limited Custom. THE top end rails were very/ very/ very tight and needed to be stoned to fit and move properly. ONe other problem is the way it feeds....the advice I have from my pics is that the extractor needs to be dressed at the front...extraction is 100% with a factory extractor spring...fyi., I have never encountered a feeding problem aside from .40 mag lips that got too wide. IT has recently been described to me as "Rim lock"...anyway to eleviate this...I am running a factory extractor spring. Roughly started off with once every 2nd round...than once a mag now that I have polished up the rails. I might go to rimless if I can not fix this....I did notice that extractor spring appears to be something cut, or short but strong...as opposed to a Wolff + 25% which is longer but strong.
