fastluck13
Hello, Wanted to share a drill we used while practicing yesterday. Was really a fun one AND it didn't burn a ton of ammo... We set up a standard USPSA silhouette target at ten yards. Starting with the gun on target, using a timer, we would shoot at the beep, reload and shoot again(We used head shots only to make it a little tougher). Two shots and a reload. We could then get a good indication of our reaction time and the reload/second shot kept it fun. We found out reaction times were about .19 fairly consistently and two of us were able to get the times under 2 seconds for the whole drill (1.75 for my buddy and 1.97 for me but I had a single stack and he had a 2011 so we called it a draw ;-)
calvary45
Two drills in one and not alot of ammo. I LIKE IT, will try this on next range practice.
Skydiver
Interesting drill. Presumably the time didn't count if both hits weren't in the upper panel.
fastluck13
Interesting drill. Presumably the time didn't count if both hits weren't in the upper panel. Right, only hits counted. Surprisingly we were pretty good on accuracy. Went through a number of reps before a miss and the first guy to miss really heard about it!
