frankge
crimp at cannulure. 55g FMJ, 24.5-25g H335, Tula .223 primers, and range brass. I found Igman pulls for ~$63/1000. They work great but haven't shot them past 100yds yet. Other than that Hornadys.
djeffers
I'll add to the confusion 27.1gr of BLC(2) worked for me, nice groups and same POI as PMC Bronze, out of my 18" gun. What kind of velocity were you getting with that load?
g56
I'll add to the confusion 27.1gr of BLC(2) worked for me, nice groups and same POI as PMC Bronze, out of my 18" gun. What kind of velocity were you getting with that load? It will depend on the temperature, BLC-2 has the reputation for being the MOST temperature sensitive powder in general use. In Glen Zediker's book "The Competitive AR15" he points out BLC2 for particular attention, unfortunately it isn't a recommendation, in the entire book he only warns against one powder for 223, and that's BLC2, he calls it "spooky under the sun", not exactly a glowing recommendation! If you want to use it, it's temperature sensitive so keep your loads on the moderate side. http://fulton-armory.com/thecompetitivear-15byzediker.aspx Edited November 22, 2011 by g56
