lawboy
Picked up a used XD9 Tactical Tuesday. Fired it at two range sessions and it shoots about 4-5 inches high at 20 yards. The gun has a Heinie rear sight so I know the prior owner was mucking around with it some. I am wondering if the front sight is factory or something else, or if the rear is the wrong height for the factory front, or ... you get the picture. If someone could give me the height of the factory front sight that would be helpful. Thanks!
RIIID
Factory front height is .160, the Heinie rear sight is the same height as the factory rear. Rich
lawboy
Thanks for the info. Adds to my confusion though because my front sight is .190. It should make the gun shoot low. In fact, the gun is shooting high as indicated. Sheesh. I will have to sort it out. Maybe just buy the Dawson adjustable rear and be done with it.
