Mark R
I have built a couple of low cost activators and they seem to work pretty good so far. Built them about a year ago and used them on occasions without issue. Thought I'd share to all who may be interested. Get a 1" - 1-1/2" dowel, cut to about 10-12 inches. Cut a flat spot on the dowel to mount a hinge. Mount the hinge to a 2x4 about 12-18 inches long. Drill a hole about half way down the dowel to put a eyelet with nut through it. Then mount the 2x4 to a table or steady fixture using a C-clamp. Connect your wire/rope to the eyelet and adjust for length. Ready for action. You can also sand the top of the dowel to round the cut edge to make it a little user friendly. I've used 2 on a stage with wires crossing to opposite side targets (see attached). Confused some shooters...but fun. Edited to replace BMP file with JPG file. P25_TrainYard.pdf Edited June 26, 2011 by Mark R
