HOW TO: 930 Bolt Release Disassembly

Made a video showing how to disassemble the bolt release on the Mossberg 930.

I can't see the vid right now but I've made a couple tools for removing it.

One is a broken X acto blade and the other is a bent piece of spring I cut off when trimming the mag spring to length.

I use the end of the Xacto blade that is designed to go in the handle, it has a hole in it that I slip one side of a pair of needle nose pliers in and can grip it on edge. Then its just slide it thru the slot. I just have to remember which way the clip is going.

And the spring is just bent so I can do everything from the bottom.

Nice video. I fiddled with my 930 for a while, and never found the hole you use to push the pin out. I ended up using a parts pickup magnet to pull the pin after taking the cotter pin out. Worked like a charm.
