Mags not dropping free Help!

I just got a pistol that I bought in and it came with two SV mags. The Sv mags work fine, but when using my friends STI mags the STI mags did not want to drop free. Does anyone know what would be the cause of this?

Take the top end off and look down from the top and see whats going on.

Well at a closer look, one sv mag works. I miced that mag and it was 1.63 front to back. The other were in the 1.75 range.

Whe using the STI mags the flex in the grip seems to be what is holding it in.

The other SV mag just gets stuck in the last tenth of it's travel. I cant figure out what's holding it in.

All the mags have plus 1 followers, and drop when one round is loaded.

This is very frustrating, any advise would be great.

check that the width of the mag is consistent and the trigger bow isn't binding. dropping enough partially full mags can eventually cause a little swell.

Take the top end off and see if the followers on the empty mags are getting hung over the slide stop. Happened to me on my single stack

I finially fixed it! The grip screw bushing was catching the mags. I filed them down and I am now good to go.
