gmantwo
Silly question I know, but here's why I need to know. I load minor 9 with federal spp and major 9 with Winchester small rifle. The winchesters are gold. I can look at the primer and tell if it's major or minor, if theres ever a doubt. I'm about to order primers and thought if federals small rifle are gold, I'd go with those. Thanks Federal small rifle are silver. So are cci small rifle. Remington rifle primer's used to be gold but i'm not 100% sure now, its been awhile since I bought any CCI 41 small rifle for 5.56 are gold, but they are about the hardest primers you can get(to prevent slam fires in AR's) Edited May 2, 2011 by Gatekeeper
Pat Miles
They used to be worth gold but now they've settled back to being worth silver. Pat
gmantwo
LOL, good one Pat. Guess I'll keep ordering the Winchester for my major loads. Works very well being able to tell what is major/minor. Thanks
