JaeOne3345
Is there anyone out there who owns both OEM 9mm and OEM 40 cal Glock slides that can take a look at something for me? I am not sure if it is necessary to have the same length slide, i.e. 17/22 or 34/35. I am curious as to whether the metal "ridge" under the slide that ramps up (responsible for stripping rounds from the magazine) is the same exact height/profile on the 9mm slide as it is on the "identical" 40 cal slide? I have a lone wolf g35 slide, and an oem g17 slide. On the lonewolf slide, the ridge is noticeably taller than the 17 slide. I am trying to get this slide to run 100% reliably. I read a post on another forum from a user who was having issues with the slide hanging up (lone wolf), and he mentioned that the extra "height" (or depth) of that ridge was causing the slide to drag across rounds in the magazines much more than than the oem slide, and all his issues stopped once he dremeled it down. Thanks for any help in advance!
