I need a written new shooter briefing to go over at our new shooters meeting before the match starts, something that hits the top safety issues and a few things they need to know. Anybody got somethimng on paper they can email me? Thanks

The North Carolina Section has this: http://www.ncsection.org/NewShooter/FirstMatch.htm and we at the Northwest section have this: http://northwestsection.org/newshooter.html which also refers to the NC section page.

I recommend using some of that as a starting point and tune for your local practices and conditions. E.g. Our section is pretty strict about safety checks, but other sections are more casual about it.

One club I've shot at has a one sheet (2-page) handout for new shooters that explains safety rules, range procedure (from do you understand the COF, to LAMR, to ULSC). It's a handy reference the the new shooter can read, take home and review.

About the only thing I would add is the web address for USPSA and for the local club website.
