Gun Geek
This is my RIFLE load: H110 14.2gn Runs my carbine very nicely. The Hodgdon manual says 14.0gn (start) 2006fps 15.0gn (stop) 2106fps
g56
I always used 12 gr of 2400 behind a 110 gr bullet, worked great for me.
lmccrock
Carbine or handgun? I used to shoot reduced loads of Win 296, although I do not recall seeing any of the warnings from Winchester which they publish today, so I would not go as low today as I did then. The published load was 13.0 to 15.0 gr of 296 with a 110 gr bullet; and I went some below that. It made a nice load for the Blackhawk, and still allowed MY carbine to function. And reduced loads in the carbine made it easier to find the brass. Again, Winchester now warns against downloading 296. What are you using it for? The SP bullets sound like some hunting application.... Lee
DULLYJAY
Just to put some holes in paper. Maybe for SHTF ammo, when the 308 runs dry
