I recently asked about modifying revolvers to use moonclips and got a response that sounded like it was saying that all moonclips guns were illegal except for the S&W or Colt's M1917 and only then if they used half moon clips....the rationale was that moonclips were a competition only modification. Never mind that adjustable sights were first built for use in Bullseye shooting...a simple machining operation to cut a revolver to use moonclips is not IDPA legal.
