270 Win 130gr

I need some information on casting for the this caliber. I tried to find a mold on Lee web site and they do not list one. The rifle is a Remington 710 bolt action. I am not going to use this for hunting. I need a new caliber to load for fun and enjoyment.

If you are looking at Casting, check out this fourm Cast Boolits.

These folks are the BE of casting and cast for ALL calibers. Personally, I would be looking at Saeco or Lyman for a mould. You will also be wanting to look at gas checks. I know that my 30-30 performs better with a GC cast boolit than a plain based boolit (cast bullet, CB Forum vernacular).

you've seen the Budweiser/Bud Lite "bottles" that are actually made out of aluminum, right?

there are guys on the cast boolits forum that are making their own gas checks from the aluminum that makes up those "bottles"

there are at least two tools probably more like 3 or 4 that are being made by cast boolits forum members there that turn that kinda aluminum or sheet flashing into gas checks.

at least one of those, if I recall correctly, screws onto the top of a single stage press like a die and you punch out the check blanks that way.

the " freechex" tool comes to mind.
