Need a new pair of electronic ear muffs

I shoot Steel Challenge and with my Sordins I can never hear the impact of the bullet on one plate as I shoot the next plate. Often I have to slow down a little and glance back at it to make sure I hit it or just make the assumption that I did hit it. The sound isn't clipped but attenuated and recovery is so slow that it is costing me critical 1/10's or even misses. So, help me out, which electronic muffs have the quickest recovery times. I'm not looking for the "best" muffs here, simply ones with the quickest recovery..

I have sordins too but can hear the plates fine, even though I'm not really trying to. I don't think you're going to find a better quality sound amplification than the sordins anyway, everyone that I know that has gone to them was amazed at the sound quality. The only problem I have with them is hearing pheasants flush in the wind, otherwise they've been great.
