ParaGunner Posted November 13, 2010 Share Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) I have a STI Para mag that measures 166.42mm with a DP SNL basepad. The mag body by itself measures 162.78mm. If I got a 7mm Bolen basepad would it add exactly 7mm to the mag body length and make it around 170mm in length? I am measuring from the bottom of the mag to the top in between the back of the feed lips.And I'm measuring with some 18" digital calipers. The Dawson SNL is a 4mm base pad No mag gauge, I'm using 18" digital calipers and they are very accurate. The SNL does seem to add about 4mm according to my measurements. I just wanted to know if a 7mm Bolen basepad adds exactly 7mm to the mag body? I want to get the mag closer to 170mm.
