M&P 40 - Recoil Spring for Minor Loads?

I have a standard S&W M&P 40.

It runs 180 grain Major Powerfactor loads flawlessly.

It will not run my Steel Plate (minor PF) loads with any reliability.

What weight spring should I try for Minor in the M&P?

Also, Which Glock model springs would fit?

My wife runs an M&P 40 shooting minor loads for Production. Her pistol's PF using Solo 1000 is approximately 127 and requires a 13lb recoil spring. If I could, I would have preferred to use an 11lb spring but that weight will not fully keep the slide locked.

You can use ISMI Glock springs in your M&P.

Glock 17/34 springs will fit your M&P or M&P Pro.

What are your steel plate minor loads? I'm thinking they may be a tad light. You are still shooting 180s right? Read this article and check out some of these loadings and see if it won't make the difference....They work just fine in my M&P and I load lighter than that.
