Glock rear sight dovetail

Why? Do you want to try to fit a non-Glock sight or something? And if so, why? There are loads of options that come made specifically for Glock. They may require a modicum of fitting, but nothing that should take longer than thirty minutes or so.

Why? - I have got my hands on a docter reddot - however it has an adapter to fit a glock rear sight (slide mount) , I am thinking that with little effort I can get this to fit a 1911 slide blank - just by milling the correct slot for the adapter, so minimal outlay provided I get the cut right.

Thanks for asking

Tim

I would just sell the adaptor and get the correct one for your gun. Then if you do not end up liking the sight you can go back to the regular iron sight. Not really worth milling an odd ball sight cut(for a 1911) in a slide for a part that runs like 50 bucks or so
