mscott
The thread on the Western PA sectional and Glock mags got me curious. I now have an EGW mag gauge and did some checking. I have 2 140mm Arredondo pads on .40 mags and 2 on 9mm mags. None of those 4 are legal IMO. It's only by a hair (or the checkering on the bottom), but without a LOT of pressure there is daylight showing between the mag and gauge. Dawson base pads have plenty of room to spare. The 170mm Taylor pads used for Open had me the most curious, but they also have lots of room to spare. Looks like I'll sand about 1/32" off of the Arredondo's and be good all around. I don't own any others to measure, but I'll put the gauge in my range bag and have some fun at the next match or 2 . Anyone that knows me is welcome to try it out .... just ask. EkuJustice
That could explain why everyone says the Arredondo mags hold 20+1 easier than the others
