spd522 Posted August 18, 2010 Share Posted August 18, 2010 I have a Clark Carbon Fiber tube on 3 of my ARs. It isn't versatile like some other tubes but nothing can match the weight. My 20" tac-iron gun feels like a 16" and balances great with a UBR stock. The other two ARs both have skinny 1/12 twist barrels and Cavalry Arms lowers. The 20" is for prairie dogs and the 16" is converted for 22LR. It is amazingly light. I may try one in a 3 gun match just for S&G. I haven't noticed excessive heat from sitting in the sun. FB3GDQ Posted August 20, 2010 Share Posted August 20, 2010 So here is my story, I have a Troy quad rail on the front of my rifle currently and as you can imagine, its quite heavy. Im looking for something a little lighter to drop some unnecessary weight. Id really like something to be able to mount my Magpul AFG on the bottom of it (I think I want to stick with it up front for now).
