which mag well plays....well...with crimson trace lasergrips?

hi everyone,

I am guessing by its design the tech well and its proprietary grips are out.

will the dawson 1911 mag well and crimson trace laser grips get along?

said another way...I don't want to have to whittle on $300 grips and risk boogering them up.

and just an FYI...crimson trace laser grips don't get along well with 1911's fitted with ambi safeties.
