Please share the answer! I recently bought an XDm 40 and am considering building a limited gun. A coffin cut would be sweet, but do you have to go to a lighter spring? I am going to a 16# spring and getting a 14# to try out also, though I anticipate the 14# to be too light.. a 1911 guide rod and 16# spring.. enjoy.
