  1. I have used Springer extensions at +10 and it feeds and loads 40 rounds flawlessly.  Tried their +20 combo and not so much.  Only got 45 rounds in it and it functions, but not close to 50.  If you keep cutting coils off you can cram more in but it will lead to feeding issues i think.  I am still playing with it.....  but i don't trust it yet

There simply has been nothing yet that can beat it in terms of dependability.

Totally agree.  Yes it takes more reps to find the dot initially.  But its bulletproof and the SRO (while promising) is larger and unproven

yeah I have 3 DPPs - 2 are mounted and one waits it's turn in the closet.  I'm hoping the SRO changes this.

I really hope it changes it too.  My RMR’s are flawless.  But no so gamerish.....

  4. Hey all,

Both 5's for Carry Optics.  If these were dedicated 45 degree offsets for PCC I'd probably go with a 2.5. I also tend to run my dots bigger than my friends though. I run my MRO's at 6 which is a little bright even in the Texas sun.

Gotcha,  i use a 5 setting on the MRO and i think if it doesnt work out on the pistol a 2.5 would work on a PCC.  Probably  going 2.5

Well I pre-ordered 2 after seeing them in person. Very, very clear glass and a super crisp dot in a YUUUGE window. I had zero issues indexing the gun naturally the first time and having the dot just appear right on target. No adjusting my grip, super natural and easy to pick up.

Trijicon is going to annihilate the red dot market with this. Trijicon reliability + clear open glass. Time for all you other dot shooters to sell off your 4 DPP's that rotate back to the factory and invest in the SRO. 😂😂😂

What size dot did you go with?  I have a 3.25 RMR and would like the 2.5 SRO, but 5-6 seems ao popular with the Open crowd.

They all have their issues, rmr included...
Remember they had to make a version 2 of the rmr because the battery would lose connectivity. I’ve even sent back a v2 that had the same issue.

True.  But i have seen/heard less problems from the RMR (type2) than other MRDS options.

MBX is the way to go.  The STI Gen2 mags are worth a look.  I have two Gen 2 140s that I use for classifiers with a mandatory mag change, or when I have to drop in mud or dust.  Otherwise, it's MBX.

Ive never used a Gen2 STI.  I have never had an issue with the Gen1 STI.  I guess i would ask are the MBX somehow better than old STI?

  9. Hey all,

Title pretty much sums up my question.  I stopped buying any mags back with the old i guess “gen1” STI mags.  Seems the newer STI mags were not all that awesome.  But i see a lot of the MBX mags now.  Are they better or just better than the new STI gen mags??

    thanks

Nice! I really need to get my hands on a 45. Seems it would be great for both carry and the games.

Seems a little big in the grip for carry.  I would still prefer a 19.  But looks like a great duty gun.

Ding ding. No personal experience with the 6MOA version, but the few 3MOA R1s I've had have been flawless

I have heard of numerous failures and fixes from SIG
