  1. The steel is more durable. I did break the tip off of a steel one several years ago at about 30,000 rounds. LS replaced it free. I have not had any problems with the new gold colored ones. The one that broke was the old black style. LS is the only one making a lwt striker that I know of. You can lighten the stock one, but it is, IMO, not worth the effort.

    Thank you very much Joe!

I just need to hear that from you before I order one.

By the way, is the titanium striker safety plunger worth getting? I read somewhere the Vanek tigger kit has an "enhanced/modified" firing pin safety plunger. What's your take on this?

    Again, Thanks!

  2. Does anyone use lubrication on the extractor?

    Hi Mike,

I personally don't do that to my Glocks. I don't see the need for it.

If you search further in the forum I'm sure you'll run across some threads on which portion of your Glock to lube and not.

    Warm regards.

  3. i took the easy way in eliminating pre-travel....

-i took the safety plunger out

-shoved a plastic thingy inside the pre-travel slot of the ejector housing

-adjusted the plastic thingy a bit by grinding some material off to totally eliminate pre-trave

    -presto "a 1911 trigger in a glock" :D

So, you eliminated the Drop Safety of your pistol?:huh:

i dont carry chamber loaded

besides the best safety is trigger finger out...

Do you use this pistol for competition or personal defense? If you were shooting this pistol, with this safety mod (removed safety plunger), and you accidently dropped it, it could possibly discharge. I hope that you do not use it for personal defense, if you had to use it in a shooting of another person, the Attorney's will find that you removed a safety and were "Looking to shoot someone". Nevermind the person you shot was a grave danger to you. There are other ways to get a Glock trigger smoother & lighter without removing the safeties.

That is just my .02 worth of advise.

both....attorney??? here in the philippine islands there aint no attorney hehehehehe

    Hello Atmar!

How is "-shoved a plastic thingy inside the pre-travel slot of the ejector housing

-adjusted the plastic thingy a bit by grinding some material off to totally eliminate pre-trave" done?

I'm sorry I don't seem to get this.

    Regards!

  4. Hi sandman!

Nice Trojan .40 you got there in Iligan!

I fitted an svi magwell and thin hogue traditional double diamond rubber grips on my Spartan .45. The hogue grips are available locally but the svi traditional magazine well has to be ordered on line. I can do reloads a lot quicker than before. So far, I'm happy with my set-up.

Do you have Single Stack Division in Iligan?

    Extend my regards to foxxy.

    Shooting in Bohol,
