Your right, but you can use a Glock extended mag release and put it in a G17.

Due to the cost of ammo, I have decided to switch to Production from Single Stack. I am looking at purchasing a G17 to use in this division. Please, correct me if I am wrong. From the searches I have done, it looks like doing the following mods will get me as far as I can go: 1. The .25 cent trigger job. 2. Extended mag release 3. New sights. Other than those mods, practice with the new blaster is what is going to make the most difference. I use Uncle Mikes in SS. It's ok. I made do with it and spent my money on ammo. I would like the holster to be able to cant forward a small amount off of vertical. I was looking at the BladeTec gear. I read that the shooter's thumb is blocked from wrapping the pistol due to the DOH holster. Some type of spacers are the solution, correct? For mag pouches, I'm looking at Uncle Mikes or BladeTec double mag holders. I noticed with the Uncle Mikes SS double mag holders that on some reloads, my middle finger will catch on the mag pad and pull it either, all the way out or some of the way out. Has anyone experienced this with the BladeTec pouches? If anyone can think of something I need to take a look at please mention it. Thanks for the help, TRyan

Helping people is a good thing. Help the guy all you want. What I am saying is that if a person consistantly shows up to matches wearing his Secret Squirel uniform, he might not be right up stairs. Some military schools require you had to pass a psyc exam before you can go. It's the normal stuff, do you see the cow in the picture, now the lady, scenario stuff etc. Since, we don't use any mental stability tests we have to use our judgement. My thoughts, a guy shows up to shoot repeatly wearing full military gear that is not in the service, not so stabile. 2 cents

Ditto on the full battle dress. For example, a new shooter show up dressed to the hilt in the lastest Secret Squirel uniform, with all the lastest wanna-be SOCOM gadets. Do we want to be the organization/club that furthers the guy's skills with firearms. What if 007 decides to smoke a store full of patrons, and someone looks into his back round (they always do) and find out, hey he learned to shoot by attending USPSA matches. A little camo/ulity type clothes are ok at local matches. my two cents.

I am going to buy a new 1911. I am looking at the Les Baer Premuim II. I am guessing I'm a high C, low B shooter. My question is this, at my current skill level would it be a good idea to get the 1 1/2" accuracy upgrade? Thanks, TRyan
