  1. Hey guys We stood and shot all day in the rain for an IDPA sanctioned match. Did this Ohio club honor any of its winniers with even a certificate? I don't know about the rest of you guys but if I do well at a sanctioned match I like at least a piece of paper to show and brag about! So what did Ohio do for their winners?
  2. Yep Nationals let us down on this year's stage designs and I agree with the earlier statements that proceedurals for the most part were issue to enforce and cover for poor stages.
  3. +10 No +20 That is cold! Do you know the facts, was it on purpose or by some error or do ya just get off flaming on people. You reduce the sport and yourself by making these kind of statements. And I thought all the shooters I met over the week were great people sharing a common sport now this attitude changed all that.
  4. This year tasked every shooter just look at the points down and the times. and I wish to thank all the great people who ran the stages you deserve all our thanks. To gave us three days of your time to opperate a match of this size says a lot. I solute you Now This isn't intended to start something. its an observation and apparently the only critisism but should be said of a National Caliber Match. The Carolina Match has always been better from a club who injects effort and imagination into stages and props. Many clubs spend time with their stage set ups to provide a challange for the shooters and this is what I would expect from a National level contest. In this effort Arkansas let us all down this year over the past years. Sorry guys but even though I had a great time and avoided most of the rain your stage designs were pour and reflected less effort than a monthly club match provides. I just feel Nationals should provide a level above State, Regional or club stages.
  5. over weight guns. This year they checked weight with the chrono
  6. Let start by saying a match that is poorly organised. Running stages side by side with no burm between and not alternating shooters. Stage 1 starts from 15 yards and shoots running up and stage 2 starts at 1 foot shooting backing up. Guess this puts stage two shooter in front of stage one's barrel. If ya can't duck don't come. Elederly men trying to data enter scores at match end and by 5:00pm still have a stack the height of a Hummer to go. Just couldn't wait them out, had a wife to feed. Course we are now 20 days later and still no match scores posted. I can't believe they are still entering the data. Guys Add $5.00 dollars to the match and hire someone who types. So who knows how anyone did and who cares about the scores or how well they placed. I know I went for the fun of it. I just want you all to know 2006 George Norton Memorial Match in Ohio had some great stages and I'm glad I went. But I would just like to know that I didn't stand in the rain to come in dead last. Good thing this was a one time match. Steve
