  1. I can tell you guys having been to Montana Gold factory in Kalispell, MT many times that Norm is the first one there 5 or 6 am and the last one to leave 5 or 6 pm every day. Norm and Jolean are great people and make a good living working thier butts off day in and day out but are far from rich. It's a pretty rare prize table that you couldn't find something from Montana Gold...oh and their bullets are the best. My point is that any price increase is probably to cover increased costs.

  2. The weather was great, the match was great and my squad was the best but my ammo can was not so great. Always remember, you CAN win some and you CAN lose some...I picked the wrong can...story of my life. Thanks to the match staff for all the hard work it takes to put on this match. Congratulations to Kalani on his win and Brian...oh so close. One of the best parts of the match for me was watching these guys in action. A special thanks to my squad, great people and hard workers looking forward to shooting with all you again.

  3. I going to sight in my Saiga with the new red and wanted to know the best way to go about it. One way which has been suggested to me is sight in at 25 yards with a slug and I should be good to go for bird shot as well. I am thinking about sighting in with a slug at 50 yards but I am not sure if I will still be on target for close up bird shots? Any help would be appreciated. The slugs I am using are Winchester PDX1 Defense slugs. The rated velocity is 1600 FPS.

You'er going to have problems with the slugs you'er shooting. Go to something that matches your shot unless your shot is high base 1600 fps in which case you had better be running at least a 25 pound recoil spring.

  4. Once you try the Seekins Rail you'll wonder why you waited.

The Seekins SPR gives you options that "round" cannot.

    The flats really help!

Bottom fits on top of the many tables and ports we see.

Can't or don't want to get that low to hit the sill of a port? Use the flat on the side to improve stability.

Oh,,,wait you have a port that you "wish" you could hold your forend against the top? No

problem you have a flat there too!

In my opinion for 3 Gun a round forend is a round forend is a round forend.

The Seekins SPR when installed virtually becomes a monolithic upper.

It puts your hand "on-center" with the bore.

"pic rails" can be put most any where.

OH>>> and how about this neat feature…the 1/2" holes you see in the photo? They are built in QR (quick release) points for your push button sling swivels. And they are the anti rotational too!

Yes…yes…yes, I am sponsored by Seekins but that does not change the fact the I did not think I wanted the SPR until I tried it!

The minute I saw the Seekins I new it was the one for me. I couldn't buy one, back orderd, but got lucky and won one at the Texas 3-gun. It is the best hand gaurd I've ever had. It's every thing Pat says and then some.

  5. I have ran a 15" PRI for a long time and really liked it. This spring I saw what I thought was the best hand guard ever, of course unavailable.Well lo and behold I won one at the Laure match this spring. Look at the 14" one at the bottom of this link http://www.seekinsprecision.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=13&Itemid=17 Flat bottom and sides holes for quick detach sling a well designed handgun and just as light as my PRI. It's the one I'll be using on all my rifles.

  6. I started years ago with Safariland and then went through 2 CR Speed belts. I picked up a Center Of Mass belt from Rick at the Montana Multigun Saturday, I think it's the best belt I've ever had. It has features that no other belts have. I bought one of his holsters for my open pistol earlier this year for 3-gun, it also is top notch.

  7. Thanks for the reply. It looks to me like the M4 cut is just more ramp for even better feeding reliability but you would have to have the cut in the receiver to make the M4 barrel cut compatible, right? If the M4 cut is better why doesn't everyone use it?

I might be going to Rapid City SD for a 6 week construction job and would be there the rest of May and all of June, any 3-gun matches to be had over in that area?

  8. I liked my Oly buffer and felt that it really made a difference. After two years is crapped out on me a few years back at the Superstition Mountain 3-gun. It wasn't pretty. Lightened buffer and conventional spring for me from now on.

  9. No, and based on some hearsay only, Form over Function, if you catch my drift.

Fill us in on this "hear say". What first hand information do you have to share? Have you shot one? Have you seen one or handled one? Fill us in.

I'd like to hear this info also. As far as first hand knowledge goes, mine runs flawless. I do have one mag that needs some work, but with all the others it runs like a sewing machine.

Look I'm not going to give details about why I wouldn't ever buy an R&R part. You can do what you want with your money, I just don't like the way R&R has treated some people I know.

I Don't like the way some people you know treated R&R. Some peoples perception is there reality. All I know for fact is up here in the N.W. R&R is 100% fair and honest. On a brighter note I've had my share of self induced problems at the SMM 3-gun this weekend but one thing for sure my R&R Targets Saiga has ran like a scalded cat.
