Hi all.
I'm looking to shorten the LOP on my M1 without major surgery and I would really like a smooth sporting clays style buttpad.
I am not recoil sensitive at all but i HATE catching a buttstock on my shirt or feeling like the gun isn't seated properly because it is too long.
Any thoughts? would the thin insert from the M2 stock fit with some mods?

A pt.2 to this discussing Target clarity would be interesting as well. I'm sure it has been covered somewhere on BE but what is more important - Clear sight picture or clear target? My 46 year old eyes have trouble with both so my opinion won't matter much...

Stopped by Cabelas on the way home from work and noticed they had some 22 on the shelf. Grabbed my maximum 2 boxes and headed out. The boxes felt a little weird in my hand so i took a closer look.
American eagle red box 40 Rounds! 2.50$! Kinda like the 1 pound coffee can that hasn't been 16 oz in 20 years.
Funny how the industry that we fight so hard for doesn't think twice about poking us in the backside....

My .02. Spend a touch more, wait a little longer and get a JP15 from JP. Truly ready to go, no 6lb trigger or so so comp, low mass operating system, etc. etc. If you end up not digging 3gun you will have no problem selling it and you won't take a big hit.

I deal with this as part of my job. Consumers are demanding lower and lower prices which causes retailers to focus on their store brands. National brands do not have the same pricing flexibility and have a hard time keeping up with the growing demand for cheaper goods. From a pure quality standpoint, store brands can be/are just as good but the aren't the "same". If you grew up with a specific brand you will have a certain expectation or comfort level and you will never have an exact formula match with a store brand.
Hate to say it but you may see more and more of this as the economy continues to struggle under our fearless leader.

I really like the threat of another AWB. It gave me a great reason to buy 2 new JPs and a few other toys I have been dreaming about. The threat also helped our industry members and supporters break new sales records and flood basements with tons of ammo. NRA membership is up and people who may have never purchased a gun joined the ranks. I like all of this.

Call shooters connection (in kentucky) and they will set you up with a bladetech and mag pouches. You can run els on the mags and qls on the holster. You will have to do a little work to et the qls forks on the holster but it is easy.

Call Adolf Cuomo and ask him if he has any brilliant ideas, he is a Gun expert so he must have the answer.
You could drive a set screw in to limit the follower but you need to be more worried about satisfying the KGB. You could ruin your expensive mags and still not be able to keep them. Sell your 30s on Gunbroker, make a few bucks and buy 10 rounders. Put any change towards a u-haul and escape when the time is right.

I loaded 147 zero fmj rn with 3.5 TG 1.14oal. Shoots real soft but i had a few function issues. Some failure to fully go back into battery and the Brass barely fell out of the gun. Do i need to bump up the powder? Change the spring? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You may want to get two offset mounts like this:

Then you can find a simple set of backup irons that work for you and mount them up.

They fit on the Troy rail that Noveske was using on their Rifles. This sight was supposed to be listed for sale on the Noveske site but i have never seen it. They also make a barricade "claw" that fits on the Troy rail. If you don't have the Troy set up you can't use them.
Since Noveske is moving to a different rail you may have a hard time finding these if they were ever actually produced.
The Dueck deal will probably give you the same results.

Thanks everyone, i figured it out. My sizing die wasn't lowered down enough. Adjusted and ran them thru with the primer pin removed, all is well.

Hi all,
I just loaded 100 rounds of 9mm - 147 zeros RN fmj, 3.5 titegroup, 1.14-1.15 OAL, once fired mixed range brass. About 30 of the rounds won't drop into my case gauge. They all seem to stop just short of the extractor ridge. I can push them in but they stick to the point of needing a serious smack to get them back out. What would cause this?
I shoot a XDM 5.25 - is the actual chamber forgiving enough for these rounds to cycle? If not, can i resize them somehow or do i need to pull the bullets and start over? I load on a 550
Of course i am loading for a match tomorrowvAM so any help we be appreciated.

I talked with people who bought pmags with the hope of getting an AR "someday". I watched a guy put his name on a waiting list for ARs and when the salesman asked what type he wanted he said "something with one of those rails you can put stuff on"
My only wish would be... For all of theses shops and companies (and panic buyers) to commit a small percentage of their sales or purchase dollars to the NRA and spend 5 minutes calling/writing their reps in congress. The "i got mine" attitude does not protect our freedom or more importantly our children's freedom.

Wouldn't it be great if no real restrictions came down and a few years from now the market was flooded with cheap, never used rifles, mags and ammo.

Kelley, i thought taking weight off the bolt helped cycle the lighter loads? Is it purely to keep the gun on target a little better?

Thoughts on TTI "performance package" G17
in Glock

Hi All.
I just purchased my first Glock (17) and would like to have Sights, Trigger and Grip work done.
I know there are tons of DIY options and great info here on BE but I would rather send it out for an overhaul and get to shooting.
TTI (Taran) seem to have a decent package that meets my needs but I always check the forums for advice. I am new to Glocks and I am not up to speed on the go-to products/services so I would appreciate your input.
