Dang. The Mrs just whomped me up side the head for drooling over it.
That’s one that I would LOVE to ad to the collection.

No, you should not move to 9mm with that pistol. First, it's worth more than you can buy a good 9mm for, and you'd likely destroy that collector value. 2nd, 9mm works at a much higher pressure than .38 wadcutter, and I believe that pistol is also a blow-back operation, not a locked breech. Please don't try to make it into a 9mm. Possible? Probably, but not a good idea at all, in my opinion.
Thanks for the advice

First off, does the barrel stamping say 38 SPECIAL or 38 SUPER? They are two totally different cartridges.
@Ben53is correct about the potential change in value if you make the change. I did something similar with a regular M1911 Colt, but it had been modified
years ago so it had lost collectors value.
personally, I would be looking for a new production pistol with the desired upgrades already done (ie grip safety, sights, trigger, magwell, etc).
38 special

With regard to ambi thumb safeties, it's mostly what lever/paddle size and shape you like, and what method of joining the two sides. The EGW mentioned used an extended sear pin to keep the two sides together, as I recall. Others may use the original Swenson method of the through pin joining in the middle with a tongue in groove sort of arrangement.
Some say the tongue in groove is prone to breakage, but I have never seen it, though I expect it has happened.
Regarding the front sight. I believe the only way to really "fix" the two holes is to weld them, then proceed with the new sight installation. Talk to you gunsmith.
thanks for the advise

Look at the inside of the slide where the sight is mounted. If there are two holes, replacement will be difficult as those are no longer made.
If there is a single staking hole, then replacement is to find a suitable tenon sight to replace it. I think Series 70's had the narrow tenon. The two hole mounting was to provide greater strength.
Alternate is to have a dovetail milled into the slide to take one of the various dovetail type sights.
Will you be changing the rear sight as well? The problem with larger front sights (larger than teh factory) is that the tenon may not hold as well. This is a primary reason dovetail sights became popular.
Why do you want to change it?
hey .. there are two holes . and yes I want to change the rear and front just to upgrade it.
if it is difficult to change the front sight maybe just let in there, and change the rear .

Nice!!!!
Good job.
Also looks like you have the Extreme trigger installed. I personally like it over the normal one with more curve to it.
You also have Ben and Joel’s newest training book. Lots of good stuff, especially the par times to monitor progress.
thanks yes that gun have instaled the extreme trigger , extreme firing pin , extreme spring, Dawson front sight , armanov grips, one piece sear , r5 interruptor and just get the titan hammer but not installed yet y put it to try but give me more wiggle in the single acction so just get back to the normal hammer until more test .. I think I need another interruptor to fit the new titan hammer . yes that book is awesome just get it to..

The poster just used the CZ reference to the same thing.
Will it disappear? Maybe, maybe not. More than likely not. This is the fitting process because each Tanfoglio is unique.
thanks

Very common. Trigger isn't coming forward enough to pick up the wing in single action. You have to remove material from the back of the disco
sorry tell me more detail what disco ? when y put the titan hammer this will disappear ?

so i instal the r5 interruptor an the one piece sear (Xtreme) it fells great,in double and single action ,, but when I put the slide on and rack it the hammer went back and the trigger went block don't let me fire .. I take of the slide and push dow the sera cage and it works again . but when I put the slide it blocks again ? I just ask for the titan hammer ....

Are you sure it’s a small frame? They are a bit rare in the USA.
I have never tried to install the Titan on my small frame Tanfoglios, because I didn’t think the result was worth the effort and money. But if you don’t mind spending the money and like to experiment it might work.
Personally I would invest my time polishing and tuning up the gun per Memphis Mechanic’s video instructions first. Get the gun down to a super smooth DA and SA pull which will fire all your ammo. Then if you still want to shorten the SA trigger take up and reset get the parts. It’s only time and money and if they don’t work you can go back to the original parts.
You need the skills, patience and tools to make the install go well. If you’re not sure find someone who will make the changes for you or send it to PD.
good videos thanks how. much you polish

yes its , small frame im in Ecuador sur America thanks I will try to put the one piece sear and the r5 interruptor if they don't work ill get back . in here is very difficult to find a gunsmith or parts ..
