That is a weird trigger pull. Why are you tapping the trigger?

Ummm, has USPA Production gone to 15 rounds and I missed it?

So, I just found out (at age 57) that I have aphantasia. If you don't care to Google it, that means I don't "see" images when I close my eyes and think of stuff. For example, when I think of a chair, I don't "see" a chair in my mind, just thoughts of what a chair looks like, not the image of one. And now I know not to beat myself up on not visualizing my run prior to shooting it. I can't! I can think of where I need to go, what to shoot, when to reload. But, I can't "see" it. I thought I was just not locking it in and now I know to stop thinking I'm a slacker and just use what I can and shoot. This is supposedly a rare condition, but if you have found yourself, like me, unable to visualize a stage, Google aphantasia and take a two second test. I had no idea I wasn't capable of "seeing" things until today!

Broken extended firing pin did same to me at range on SP 01

Thanks! The plain black looks like a winner.

Ok, thanks for pointing this out. Before posting the question here, had checked out the Beretta site sights (see what I did there?) and was frustrated that they never show the sight mounted on a gun or provide measurements. But, after your post I dug deeper and read the reviews. There is one wider, about as wide as can be done because of the safety, clearing the safety by 0.025". This one - https://www.beretta.com/en-us/gun-accessories/handguns/sights/beretta-92-96-target-adjustable-rear-sight/. So, there is that. But, this doesn't get me into CZ territory, only adding 2 mm per side. Which, I now realize is the best I can get, with the safety poking up. So, final answer, just get used to the Beretta. Thanks for the advice, it was worth a shot.

I'm sorry. I wasn't clear. I want the extra width of the sight to be the outside, not a wider notch. I like how a wider sight really helps me target focus.

I'm looking for wide rear sights for my Beretta 92. I'm competing with a CZ 75 SP 01 with a wide Dawson rear and I don't seem to be able to find how wide Beretta rear sights can be. Dawson doesn't show a rear sight for them. My eye is kinda spoiled for that big black chunk of a rear on my CZ and I'm looking to recreate that.

As a side note, I only found this out when my safety broke. Ebay has nothing, so if anyone has any ideas about a replacement safety lever, I'd love to get them. Thanks!

I just bought a used Tanfo TA90 Excam import model for $300 and found a way to convert it to decocker only. It has the slide mounted safety/decocker lever and if you remove the Firing Pin Safety Plunger (14.2) and Firing Pin Safety Spring (14.3) of the Firing Pin Safety (14.1), it functions exactly like a Berretta 92 G model. It will decock the gun and the safety lever will pop back up to Fire, never getting stuck on Safe.

Hammer pin slipped out, sounds like. Happened to me.

Yes. I know. And I've seen how those guns with the 2lb trigger and less shot doubles and more. That's why it gave me a boost to solve the problem and make this mechanism the most effective in the world with the 550 gram trigger
Oh, OK. You are marketing some "new" trigger to fix a 1911's "problems". Got you, fam.

As soon as I saw the leaf spring in this picture I was disappointed that they did not put an improved trigger system in this gun. Because with the trigger of less than 1.5 pounds, the problems of the original design from 120 years ago will return
Umm, you do know how good 1911 triggers can be, right?

I’ve got one of these triggers if anyone wants it. Just throw me $10 to cover shipping. I prefer the 85 style trigger
PMed you!

I add the

Competition Self-Locking Disassembly Lever for 90 series Full Size
$65.00 t
from Beretta to my guns. Fits older Taurus 99/99 as well. Not really for recoil control, but a great crutch for indexing. Doesn't stick out far, but enough for my little hands to get on.

Great pics and info, thanks!

Me if you have more questions. I can remove the plate and post a pic with measurements.
Please and thank you!

Who did the machining for the mount?

All these years? It was first unveiled in the US at the 2020 Shot Show.

Ok, thanks for the knowledge! I dropped in a new beavertail grip safety (which didn't fit, though it did function, too large a gap), trigger spring thing, new bolt release and new backstrap. Got cocky, I guess, I'll just send the hammer back. I bobbed the old hammer, works fine, just not cool looking.

I really love Wilson Combat products, but . . . I bought a 455b Value Line hammer for my Auto Ord. 1911 and now the hammer will not hold at full cock. Wilson said, yeah, have it fitted but gave no advice as to how. I get it, issues and all, but I do love the look of this hammer (as opposed to the current spur) and would love to be able to fit it myself. Ideas? I removed and re-installed the original and the Wilson about 5 times each to ensure I had it properly installed.

Yes, that is true. It used to be that going to the line with 1 rounds in a magazine was a bump out of Prodution and I heard that was no longer true. The quick and easy way was to consult the hive mind to verify. Yes, I was lazy. But, there are many folks who enjoy helping g and no one is obligated to answer.

Cool !!! Thanks.

Is it legal in USPSA Production to come to the line on a loaded start with 11 rounds in a magazine, chamber 1 round and start with 10 in magazine or must one do the load one round, eject magazine, put 10 round magazine in gun?
