Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately being in Canada I am going to have an even harder time getting Silhouette. I upped my H110 powder to 15gr and the gun ejects just fine. So Radical Precision Designs was righton when he diagnosed the problem. I see that HS-6 has just a little faster burn rate than Silhouette according to the charts, so I am going to play with a load using it as I can get it in Canada easily. I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks for the help

I am using hand loads. 13.3 of HP H110 with a 124gr Frontier plated bullet. PF is around 167 with that barrel. This load was working before. Any other thoughts would be appreciated. LTC123 I felt your pain sometime ago when working up some loads for the .357 Sig and H-110. Yes, H-110 shoots so soft and sweet while filling up the case. The problem is one of "burn dwell time". Unlike 19/2011's Glocks require a slightly faster snappier burn time. It's kind of a "catch 22" syndrome. You can not delay the opening too long or the residual push will not be enough and the gun will "short cycle" and give you "stovepipes" or incomplete extraction. If you were to increase the load untill it finally cycled, then it will cycle too fast and give you nose dives into the magazine. Monitoring the load and recoil spring and achieving a "crucial balance" may get you working, but then suddenly as the gun breaks in the formula will change and no longer work. If it was possible to obtain and use a stronger extractor spring, this could help with the super fast cycling. A better solution would be to use a different powder that won't bind the barrel comp as much. This is one of the reasons that most "over the counter" comps for Glocks are made of aluminum, which is a lousy choice for use in comps. After experimenting a bit with powders in .357 Sig in Open Glocks I have gotten the best results with Silhouette powder. A second close is VV 3n38. But Silhouette has given the most complete, clean uniform and predictable burn, with dwell time that allows me to use the "standard" factory recoil spring, instead of a grossly weight reduced one ( which can drag in a few other problems). It seems to be that a big problem with H-110 is that you can not hold it long enough to create a high pressure to completely burn it before it exits, with a lot of it unburned right out of the comp. You can dip the case into the powder and fill it up, then compress a bullet into it , crimp the heck in ... and still the pressure signs are not that high, even with rifle primers!!!!!!!! But, yes, it will shoot oh so soft. And yes watch it, because with the lighter bullets it will not make major, as the back pressure is less and allow for even less complete combustion. By the way tonight I just shot a complete 3 large stages match (USPSA) using my Open (M-32) Glock with a full size stainless steel comp in .357 Sig, and it worked great. My load was 121 gr IFP Montana Gold bullets with 8.8 grs. of Silhouette at 1.145" with WSP primers and a "stout" crimp. Thanks. That sounds like my problem exactly. I do have a large amount of unburnt powder falling out of the end of the barrel, and the gun was working now it doesn't. Looks like a trip to the gun store for some Silhouette powder. Thanks LTC123

I have a 24C with a stock slide that I put a KKM 357 Sig barrel & comp into. It worked very well for a few thousand rounds. I started to get the occasionally jam. The empty brass would not clear. It would pull the brass from the barrel but not eject from the gun. The slide would close on the empty brass as though it was trying to feed it back into the barrel. What was an occasional problem now happens every mag. I removed the barrel and comp and replaced it with the stock glock 40 barrel and it works great. I have substituted springs and change extractors to no avail. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Could you post some pictures and a discription of that modificaton? I think we all would like to remove the excess forward travel of the trigger.

Thanks Grump. I thought the holes in the pictures looked tappered. But it's hard to tell from one photo. It will be good to get the mesurments when glockadict gets it back from the shop.

Novak sure does have some nice designs. I am going to attemp this mod myself with the help of a friend of mine who is a mold maker with access to a EDM machine. Would you be able to post the hole sizes and spacing for my referance? I would like to mimic not only the look of your unit but also it's performance. Thanks

I am shooting a Glock 24C in IPSC Open Class here in Canada. I have just purchased a SS Caspian slide and a unported match barrel. I have acsess to a EDM machine and would like to add a series of holes to the top of the slide and barrel much like the Aro-Port Hybrid Compensator. Has anyone seen one up close and would you hazard to guess the hole diameters and spacing? Thanks
