  1. For what its worth.

    Mag tube: $52.50

    Base pad Dawson SNL: $32.49

    Grams spring kit: $17.00

    Total:101.99

Tuned mag: $125.00 and it will work 110% with an easy 20 rounds reloadable.(priceless)

    BK

I know I thought of that as well, but the winters are long in North Dakota so you got to try and stay busy.I bought a few tuned ones and thought I would give it a try myself ,didnt think I pull my hair out seemed easy enough!!!

  2. The ingredients =140mm + base pad(+1) + Grams Engineering

    spring/follower kit p/n FKS-11

Why can I only get 17 rounds in this mag I built,The tuned mags I bought I can get 19 or 20.This is my first attempt and would like to know what I am doing wrong.

    :surprise:

    Any Ideas??

  3. Are we talking bullets, or loaded ammo?

185's are much cheaper. That will make it attractive for bulk ammo sales, but cheap loads may not be good from a performance, or reliability standpoint.

There are a lot more competitors using 230's, but 200's and 185gr. are still viable. The only way to know what works for you, is to give each a fair shake.

    Factory loaded ammo

  4. Thanks for all your advise and help, this forum is the best for us new guys.Well I went and bought a couple boxes of Winchester White box and Remington 180 grain factory ammo put 100 rounds thru it and it ran like a champ, not one mis-feed so I did it again and it ran just fine.WHEW!

I also called Bob and he also was a tremendous help! willing to do anything to make things right, he also had me check the extractor and the ammo. It seems to be the Precision Delta ammo with all the mixed brass plus I notced it seems pretty dirty when I took the gun apart, but their behalf they were very sorry and will take the 1000 rounds back and send me a box of new ammo to try.

Thanks again for all your help!

  5. Yeah, sorry it would be 1.18 (beginner)

I wanted to get a feel for what might be the issue before call Bob,I live in rural North Dakota and its a hundred miles to Fargo, so before I went I want to try and get the right ammo. I used to have a CZ TS and it cycled Precision Delta ammo fine. I'll take any input before I go up there, once I leave town there are only 2 stop signs

    Yes its a new gun

  6. Have not tried factory ammo and am not sure of the specs ,I believe they said 1.88 long and are the remanufactured ones. They are the tuned mags ,4 of them and I get the same results with all 4

Is the guide rod issue possibly something I could fix?

  7. Recently purchased from BRAZOS Edge Plus .40 with Brazos mags, cannot get the pistol to cycle completely,it will not push the cartridge all the way into the chamber. This happens every other round. Am using Precision Delta 180 grain major, have tried the longs and that made it worse.Anyone know whats up? The tip of the bullet will have smile on the outside edge it when I rack it out if that helps.

    Need Help!

  8. Just purchased a Brazos Edge,I do not reload and have been using 180 gr. round,is there any advise on other choices that may run better. Any particular brand?

I've used the search engine but most info is for reloading, got tired of searching.

  9. Can anyone help me with instructions on how to get the plastic mag well off,I cannot seem to figure it out without breaking it off, which will be the next step!

Now thats what I call directions, Thank You

Has anyone tried to apply the mag wells available from cz on Angus's site, it says they need some fitting, can a novice gun tinkerer get it done
