I always cant when shooting strong or weak hand only. For me, it feels more natural and it also helps the gun move to the next target from the recoil. Not saying it is right or wrong, but this is what works for me.

I have used the Springer basepads for Glock mags and they are good to go. They work just as well as my Dawsons, SLRs and Taylor Freelance.
-
If your OAL of your ammo is too long, you will need to use the .40 +12 basepads. That is what I had to do and they work flawlessly in my open Glock.

This is just my personal experience / opinion, but Ive had Glocks from gen 3 to gen 5. From my experience looking for competition upgrades, it is easier to find stuff for gen 3 and 4 than it is gen 5. Both of my competition glocks are gen 4's and couldnt be happier. I have a G35 set up for limited and a full race open G34 built by Carver Custom. I dont think you can go wrong with a Gen 4 but that is just my opinion.

I would have recommended the SiCo Omega but I just got mine stuck on 2 of my rifles for the last damn time. The Omega might be my favorite can ever if the ASR wasn't so damn finnicky about either getting stuck or shooting off. It's the best tone and least recoil in any suppressor I've shot. Phenomenal design minus the damn ASR.
Unfortunate to spend the time and money required for a suppressor then have this issue. All I can offer to the OP is that my experience for the last 5 years with my Omega has been everything I had hoped for and NO issues. When I chose the Omega I was looking for basically the same features as the OP and it has covered all the bases with the exception of running it on a short barreled pistol because my pistol is only a 7". It has worked great on some of my other guns from multiple barrel length .556's up to a 300win mag. I use it in multiple configurations with & w/o the brake, with just the flat cap, direct thread or using the the ASR mounts, all attachment methods/combo's have been up to my expectations with no regrets.
Thank you for the reply. That is very unfortunate as far as the issues with the ASR as it sounds like the Omega is a great suppressor from everyone I talk to. Right now, I have the chance the buy a Griffin Recce 7 from my dealer for almost half price as it is a demo. Before I do, I am trying to read as many reviews as possible before spending the money. He as well said the Omega is his favorite.

I'd stay away from the Ultra series on a semi auto AR as the Ultra's have higher back pressure and can be finnicky to get tuned. Not much of an issue in the 300 BLK but it might become one in a 5.56 AR or other semi auto. Like Tom mentioned TBAC is beloved in the PRS game so if you're primarily suppressing the bolt guns give the new TBAC Dominus a go. That one was designed to limit back pressure. Or you can go Ultra but you will need to know how to tune the semi autos.
Another solid option is the Dead Air Nomad. The Dead Air offerings have a much lower back pressure so if you do plan to shoot a bunch of semi auto's it's a good option. It's super quiet and with the option to use their KeyMo mount it's a great value.

Remember, with suppressors you have trade offs. Pick the 2-3 you want to prioritize.- Weight
- Durability
- Cost
- dB Reduction
These are the things you don't need to compromise on. Every suppressor worth buying should be exceptional here.
- Mounting system
- Quality
- Warranty
When you recommend the Dead Air Nomad, would you go with the Nomad-L or the Nomad-30?

I appreciate the replies guys. I will definitely look at the options you guys suggested.

Hey all... I am finally looking to dive into the world of suppressors. I have been doing a lot of research and shopping but I wanted to get some first hand advice and suggestions on which to get. This will be my first suppressor and it would be used on a few different guns until each get their own. The main use will be for a 300 blk that I plan on buying / building. I will most likely go with a shorter barrelled pistol. It would also be used on my 308 and 6.5 creed bolt guns when hunting / shooting PRS type matches. Although it will be a 7.62 can, I would probably use it on my 5.56 as well to play around. What would be you guys suggestion for my first can? I'd prefer to stay below $1200 including tax stamp. Thanks.

I would look at SGT Of Arms. They deal Tbox barrels which have phoenomenal accuracy. I had a Tbox on my grendel and it shot amazingly accurate with factory ammo. He builds some really nice stuff as well.

As everyone else said, anything suggested by Ben Stoeger is the way to go. My favorite drill is doubles which is suggested by Ben and Hwansik Kim.

I agree that dry firing outside is more fun than inside. I feel like it is more like the real thing when I can run around since my dry fire space inside is limited.

Evryone else is correct. You are doing yourself a disservice by shooting limited minor. Find something you like in .40 if you want to shoot limited. Otherwise, shoot 9mm in either production or carry optics.

I am in South Louisiana and all of our local matches are cancelled for now.

Very interested in reliability of the Rugers. As soon as I find one available I will be buying one of the pistol versions.

+1 for Red Hill Tactical

Ive used the Talon in both the rubber and the sandpaper. Also, I just installed the sandpaper "Handle it Grips" on my Glock 17. I personally like both and would use either one. For competition, definitely go with the sandpaper style. They grip much better than the rubber.

I like Overwatch Precision but I've felt a Johnny Glock trigger and it is amazing.

Are any of you running aftermarket barrels? If so, what brands and why?
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI have a KKM 9mm conversion barrel for my Glock 35 and it is very accurate. I also run a KKM 9mm barrel in my Glock 34 open gun. It is very accurate as well.

I prefer jam nuts. They are easier for indexing the comp and also reusable if you need to remove the comp for some reason. Just my opinion though.

I use a 6 moa on my open gun and love it.

Impact Ammo is now selling 9mm major ammo loaded with 121 grain Montana Golds. They just released it recently. I talked with them and they told me that the OAL is 1.145" with a power factor of around 172.

Not CZ or Tanfo, but I went from a 2011 style in limited back to a Glock 35.

I use the Dawson EZ off 140's and can only get 19 reloadable.

As others have already stated, I use a combination of aggressive grip tape and progrip. I have never had an issue with the gun moving around in my hands no matter how hot it was outside. The progrip is amazing by itself.
