This is just a box stock LTT model.  This was only my 2nd attempt for that particular drill that day:

    My goodness!  that's disgustingly sweet.

  2. Watching is good for as others mentioned - data.

I especially watch newbies shoot stages "just in case".  There was an instance when I just started shooting and I wasn't paying attention.  All of a sudden I see a few veteran shooters duck and move and sprint.  A newbie broke 180 HARD and made a few guys nervous.

P07 with Cajun Gun Works Kit.  Had to have the milling done for optics.  Pictured with decocker but can be swapped out for safety.IMG_2675.jpg

    This is gorgeous!

OP- I would go this route.  Jagewerks has a pretty affordable optic cut cost (and if you can wait until Black Friday- it gets cheaper!).

I did my own trigger job this last weekend. Used the Langdon trigger bar in NP3, an Elite II Hammer ...

Have you tried the Beretta Match hammer?  It's kind of a game changer.

I just got the plate for my G48 MOS and Holosun 407k x2 GR. The screws are too

long and hit the ejector rod!

Anyone else have this issue- PS just got it Saturday- and they where closed, so

ill call Monday and see what they say- also the screws are not black but silver!!

I run the same set up and no issues here.  Are you using the supplied screws that were in the CHPWS kit?

  6. This might sound silly, but I gave the LTT Beretta a shot because it was "different".

There are a good amount of shooters at local matches that are CZ fans and swear by it. Great guns, shoot great.

I picked up a M9A3... the the LTT Trigger Job in a bag... and the better shooters were impressed.  I splurged on a LTT with NP3 coating and right off the rip impressed with it.

It just hits different.  When people ask me what i'm shooting and tell them LTT, the response was always, "Ooooooooooooo lemme see that."  lol!

If you do end up getting one, get one with the TJIAB installed from LTT.  They put some extra "sauce" on it!

  7. I have the trigger on my SP01 shadow.  I was a little hesitant about it "pointing too forward", but after dry firing it for a little bit I don't mind it at all.

I will say the trigger in single action is PURRRRRRRRTY.

In the above post I also received a Tanfo magwell, and I just ordered another magwell from them at: https://jandlgunsmithing.com  He said he has more left... I thought some of you might like to know.

    Nice guy, F-A-S-T shipping

What magwell did you get?  I called him directly earlier this year about getting a Henning magwell and he said he didn't have any.  I then called Henning directly and he said he wasn't planning on making any in the near future (maybe that has changed?)

    Hi,

I have a couple of EAA Witness small frame guns that need some attention.  How is EAA to deal with these days?  I have dealt with them in the past, and was not impressed.  One of my guns needs a new top end it's a 9mm and I was thinking about getting a 9mm long slide with the super sight.  I also need a couple of trigger bar spring assemblies.

    Thanks!,

    Z

You'll probably have the same experience.  I called them about a few months ago about a potential issue with my Limited HC and the lady I spoke with seemed as if she was being bothered.  She asked me to go into detail, and when I was done she just said, "Just send it in, but no guarantee we can fix it."  And that was it.

I know what I typed doesn't represent inflection, but imagine if you were talking to a valley girl that was in the middle of applying her chapstick- that's the vibe i got lol

Back on the topic of a comp'd X-five. Turns out I'm building one!

I sent my factory x-five bull barrel off for quad laser barrel porting. They line the 4 ports up with the factory lightening cuts in the top of the slide so no other modification is needed. I'm very curious how effective the ports will be. Talking to another guy that had only 2 ports done on his x-five...he was very pleased how flat it was. The main benefit of this package is reliability (no comp to effect cycling) and the ability to tune the gun with 1911 springs.

Where are you sending it off to and what's cost?  I'm considering this as well, but would probably want to get another x5 barrel for stock.

Most Production pads will also hit the magwell.  You need a pretty good bevel on top to clear it.

FWIW, there's a Shockbottle pad that does, the TF-LFMW, but if you're used to the Hennings, there's nothing wrong with those either.

Great thanks!  I've heard of the Shockbottle, so I'll definitely check those out.

  12. I came across a CA compliant LF 40s&w full size mag that I got as for use as a barney mag, however, the mag wont seat correctly. I am running a Henning Magwell, so stock baseplates wont work.

Would I be fine with one of Henning's production basepads, or should I get one of his CA compliant 141mm base pads?  this would be strictly a barney mag or on the less occasion used for IDPA.

Pippu, funny you should mention the Beretta Ghost. I have two a 92 and 96 Brig and I thought about them both when putting this one together.

Chubbs, I have an older Tanfo 10mm compact and I discovered that the older base pads can be modified to work with the magwell and still work for the standard frame. They take about 20 minutes with a Dremel to mod. I'll get some proper pads at some point but putting this together made me able to push that expenditure out a few months.

    Pic below.

Awesome thanks!  I have the Limited 40 HC and found that the mags would not release fully with the stock magwell 100% of the time (using Henning pads).  A friend let me use his Henning Magwell and I have no problems now.
