  1. I’ve checked everywhere and I can’t find any dovetail that works. Also I did my own trigger spring work and got the trigger to 2.5 to 3 lbs. And the gun shoots great. Take up and reset are just fine for me. I would do that before doing a trigger job. Just my .02.  JD

  2. I saw the press for the first time yesterday at a friends house. Very impressive, it’s a lot of press for the money! I wanted to compare it to my 1050. There are many things I liked better, 10 stations, basic design, the way the primer tower assembly can be removed without losing primers, indexing, lights, buttons instead of pins, case feeder design, cost. I only saw it in 9mm operation. Dislikes 180 degrees handle rotation, although it was very easy and was much easier and took less force to operate than my 1050, and it looks like the powder drop is just a flat surface over the top of the case and not s powder funnel? I think the handle problem could be solved for pistol cases by using a shorter handle causing a shorter throw and you don’t need as much force. They have bullet feeder coming, and its going to feed and seat the bullet this would be a big improvement over the AA because it eliminates the bullets moving before being seated.

So I came straight home and ordered everything!

Two hours later! After having time to think about it! I canceled the order. I really liked everything I saw, but I decided my 1050 plus bullet feeder does everything it does.
Conclusion, I will buy one after they have the bullet feeder and have a little more use out in the consumers hands. Just my .02.    JD

  3. Mine didn't have any screws to mount the optic? All mine had was T8s and T10s and both of those are to small for the helicoils that are in the plates? DID ANYONE GET THE CORRECT SCREWS TO MOUNT AN OPTIC?  Thanks, JD

I just got started in PCC and am using my B&T APC9 Pro SBR. Definitely an odd duck equipment wise at my local matches. Has anyone ever seen a B&T in match play?

Have you changed the trigger? I have a GHM9 and shoot it in Action Steel at our local match’s. I put a PSA 3.5 lbs match trigger, it is great. The CMC one piece trigger also works. Contact me if you want more info. JD

  5. Has anyone noticed the feel in the recoil of the bump that is on the ramped bolt? This seems to make a noticeable sight bounce. Strange because the gun seems to cycle fine when short stroked. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this . JD

Don’t understand why it’s needed? It seems to over set the hammer?

I am not a fan of hyperfire at all......but BHO will work with no issues on the ARV and the hyperfire

NICE to KNOW! I love the Hyperfire! but they are very spendy. I decided to try one of PSAs drop in 3.5 lbs on sale for 99.00.

I was going to take a Hyperfire out of one of my other guns and try it? Now! if I am not happy with the PSA, I will swop it out with the PSA. JD

I am hoping it is reliable with hollow points and will shoot with the weapon resting on the mag like my scorpion, but with ar ergonomics and trigger options.

I think it will be fine! If you use the Tac Com barrel with the upper bullet guide? The ARV has it's own guide rams built in and they work great. JD

My biggest problem with this is that when I encounter a problem, before I think too deeply, I raise the handle to see what's going on.  With my RL550, this was never a problem, but with the RL1100, this causes the loaded round that was just about to get crimped to advance and drop into my bin of loaded ammo.  Now I have a bin of loaded rounds and one of them didn't get crimped.  Unfortunately, this will keep me up at night, unless I now pull all the rounds out of the machine and individually run them all thru the crimping die.

I HATE it when that happens.  The ratchet prevents me from doing this, and gives me time to remove the loaded ammo bin before releasing the ratchet to raise the handle.

With all due respect, you asked for input on running the press without the ratchet? And are give us all of your reasons for not doing it. As you have heard, most of us run without the ratchet. That works for us! You should do what ever feels right for you. Quite frankly I have found that solving stoppages is easier without the ratchet. Just my .02. JD

I use to do this, but I feel I would need to revert to this system process if I removed the ratchet system.  I have been contemplating this, due the the noise and annoyance of that system.

    Thanks.

If there’s a problem, the handle nominally stops! Many times you an locate the issue and continue on. You will get the feel of what things go wrong and come up with your own solutions. It’s always the same one or two issues. Try it for a while you can always go back. Just the getting rid of the noise is worth it. JD

As I stated above, you may not have a PE powder funnel that is correctly sized for the diameter of your coated bullets.  IE, if your using a .357" or .358" oversized coated bullet, your .357" PE powder funnel may be too small to provide a stable seat for your bullets.

PE sells the larger machined funnels just for this reason:

    👍

I don’t have a PE funnel. I ordered one today. JD
