I will probably get a Dillon 650 in the future. Maybe start with the Lee Turret just to learn first.
While this could definitely get you started sooner, you may want to check out some of the Facebook groups dedicated to Dillon. Dillon Reloaders - The Exchange has had a number of used 650s pop up lately at crazy good prices. I think as tempting as it is to start with the Lee, the Dillon is the better value and if you think your going to end up there anyways, you may want to put off buying a press until you can afford that one. While the Lee is undoubtedly still useful after purchasing a Dillon, I don't think I'm the only one here who has purchased other presses just to end up at the Dillon (whether SDB, 550, 650, 1050) anyways and probably be out money going that route. Just my own opinion for sure, but I'd definitely say your volume of shooting certainly warrants it.

Currently 500/week. Maybe more once I get to reload
I'd say if your new to reloading and shooting that much factory ammo a week/month/year then there is definitely a way to save up for a Dillon!

What's the application you are wanting it for? I've seen some made out of cardboard for dropping into a 50 cal ammo can.
I made this to drop brass into a coffee can when depriming cases.
A user here posted recently, might have been Sarge(?), of a pipe that ran through to a bucket underneath. There are options available depending on what you are wanting to complete with it.
Currently I'm just processing brass but when I start loading I'd like to be able to load into a container that could hold 5-600 finished rounds without me having to break from the loading routine.

Do any companies other than UniqueTek offer something like this? Has anyone DIY'd one? This would be something that attaches to Part #13470 Chute/Bin Mount that would guide finished rounds down into a larger bin/container than the factory Dillon one.

Is the warranty on the RTS2 really only 1 year? Has anyone had trouble with it past that mark?

Thank you for the responses. RE: the RMR, I've had one and while it's durability cannot be beat IMHO, I did not like it for a competition pistol. I have both the Venom and DPP on hand so trying to stick to those, I'm looking to have a Glock slide milled and trying to decide which optic route to go. As I said, I understand both will fail at some point but in planning for a backup (or backupS) the price difference is enough to make it a harder choice.
-
I've read the threads regarding the lifespan issues of the DPP especially for Carry Optics. I'm interested to hear about any experiences with the Vortex Venom. My thinking is, if we know slide-mounted optics are going to fail at some point, and both companies have excellent warranties to replace them, isn't it better to have 2 Venoms for almost the same cost as 1 DPP?
Thoughts?

You might also have to trim the part that extends below the back strap too. That should make the plug match the profile of the grip.
That's exactly the part I've been struggling with.

Currently shooting a Glock 17 for Carry Optics and looking at legal ways to add some weight to the frame. As of the 2018 rules, App D7 22.2 says " external plugs which alter the grip profile or extend past the bottom of the grip are PROHIBITED. External plugs which do not alter the grip profile (flush fit) are specifically allowed." I have a brass mag well plug that I'm looking to alter to fit the rule, based on these photos if I cut below the white line wouldn't this be legal? I'm specifically trying to make sure that it does not extend past the bottom of the grip as I don't believe this plug alters the grip profile.
Any thoughts or experience would be greatly appreciated.

I shoot ASYM re-man 147 and have never had any reliability issues with it. I haven't chrono'd it though so I can't truly speak to the published velocities.

Yes, I posed the same question here although it has devolved a bit from the original spirit of the post

Great, thanks

Looking for opinions or experience based on the new Appendix D4, Production Rules. D4 21.6 states "Exchange of minor External components - Sights, firing pins, firing pin retainers, pins, extractors, magazine releases, slide stops, thumb safeties, triggers, hammers, bushings, and ejectors MAY be replaced with OFM or aftermarket parts." Based on this definition, would this extended magazine release be allowed in Production now?

Got the JWH in today, it is larger (taller) than a Dawson Precision EZ Off +300 for anyone that is interested and weighs 1.4oz compared to 1oz for the DP
-
That sucks, hopefully next year it can get off the ground

ASYM Precision 147 Range loads are on the more inexpensive side and are supposed to be right around 130-135PF. It's very soft shooting but I haven't chrono'd it to get an exact speed.

Excellent, thank you I appreciate it

Here's another to consider. I've used these for over a year. They fit best if you slice off the little ears at the bottom edges of the magazine's sides. That doesn't compromise function at all, since there is still the round protrusion that snaps into place locking the baseplates on. In fact, I'm not sure why Glock has those little ears there in the first place. It seems redundant, like a belt and suspenders.
Do you have the size (length from top to bottom) of these handy? Can't get ahold of anyone at JWH to confirm size.

Following this, looking for similar

Does anyone in Area 7 or affiliated with Watervliet Practical Shooters know if the match scheduled for August 18 is still designated as the Empire State Steel Challenge Championship?

Also if you are shooting that much pistol, I would definitely skip the hand primer that you posted in your OP, that would just be a waste of time and money!
