There is no reason to lube coated bullets. I have loaded thousands and I mean thousands of blue bullets and have never lubed them at all. Like the previous guy commented the bullets were casted in lead and now they are coated. Just a better option instead of shooting lead through your barrels and cleaner too. Why change the bullet mold if this is what they have in stock. Brazzo bullets have a lube ring and I have never lubed them as the dont need them at all. They just coated the bullets they already had on hand.

I'm an avid reloader and have reloaded a ton (thousands and thousands) of rounds. I am at a loss of what you mean by resizing after PC......?
You resize the brass first with lubes casings and then flare the mouth and insert the bullet and crimp and DONE you have a made ready to shoot round. I strictly use coated bullets and have NEVER lubed my bullets once.
I also have seen very little to know reside from the polymer coating in my seating and crimping dies I use. When they get dirty after 5-6K or so I remove the tool head and spray one solvent (bore cleaner etc) in the dies and blow them dry and they are now cleaned. The resizing die I spray very little hornady one shot in it and let it air dry and thats it I'm done.
I'm interested in what you're talking about here. I have also used PC bullets (purple coated) and they run great loading them how I have been. I snagged a few trial packages from an Area match I went to. They were doing giveaways to try and they run good. Just too expensive for my taste. I use Blue Bullets instead or Brazzos. They are the cheapest and accurate for what we do in USPSA.

I do unload every single mag after a stage. Reason being that if you dont and there is sand, mud, water, etc. I would be pissed I lost a stage due to a malfunction.Sidebar: seems like after every stage, you need to completely unload your mags before reloading. That way you don't have to remember if you shot 8 before dropping or 6, etc... This ensures you have 10 in every mag and 11 in your starter mag.
Whereas in Limited, you just load it back until it's full.
Unloading my mags have nothing to do with round counts. (yes I have standard capacity mags all the time amd dont use 10 rounders ever).
I clean and wipe dont all mags regardless of what Firearm I'm using, to include my glocks and M&Ps.

You 100 percent can have you first mag loaded with 11.So, you can’t have 11 in your first mag - correct? But you can load and chamber, drop the mag, and insert another 10 round mag for 10+1.
I have 6 mags on my belt, all loaded with 10.
The 7th mag (loaded with 11) is in my pocket for loaded starts.
If it is a stage with an unloaded start that (7th) mag stays in my back and I walk to the line with the 6 on my belt
OR
I take one road put depending on the stage so I still have my full belt loaded.
Anyone that tells you different is mistaken, I've been to many majors and load this way.
Rules states: At the start signal (which is the buzzer to start shooting the stage) ALL mags must have 10 rounds MAX. WHAT YOU DO BEFORE THE START SIGNAL IS IRRELEVANT AND DOES NOT MATTER.

I soley use Winchester small pistol Primers. Never had an issue not going BANG unless it was a gun issue ie. Light strikes. I've shot thousands without issues. I would not worry about it and stick with the regular non match stuff. Save you move and buy more of the regular stuff.
I currently use the regular Winchester Small Primers for all matches included Area Championship matches and have full confidence in them.

Very little to no lead build up due to the coating. They are not like shooting straight lead bullets. They are similar to shooting plated bullets.
Did the lead build up affect accuracy at all? Thanks.

No not at all. I have 3-to 3.5K through it before I do a deep clean and the accuracy stay the same.

Go with the TC not Round nose or you will have an issue with OAL. I use the 125 Grain BB as well and just order another 7200 of them. I use 125 TC OAL is 1.13. Accuracy is great and very little lead fouling. Also the TC I found to be more accurate over the RN.I would like to try Blue Bullets in my unmolested factory barrel. them being .355" diameter bullets, I don't see any issue with OAL but I would like to confirm from those who has been using BB w/ factory throat barrel. definitely sticking with 125 gr. either truncated or RN. what is your preference and why?Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

Lol I hear ya man. I completely agree with it doesnt matter about the gun at all. It's what you like and works for ya.
Sold it to a guy in Oregon.
Insane? Why? I shoot the same points at the same pace with a PPQ or G34 that I do with a Tanfo. The gun really doesn’t matter very much - as long as it fits your hands, and runs. I’ll stick with plastic.
I’m close enough to M class that I might make a push to crest that milestone in the spring with my tupperware, if I can actually find time to practice. I’m that A class guy who never dryfires. [emoji23]

There you go. I'm possibly looking to jump to limited division myself. But I love productionYup, I thought about that alpha/charlie split, hah!
We'll see if I make the jump, this weekend will be my first match with my limited in supposedly good working order after solving my magazine/bullet drag out issue. I hope I fall in love again so I can just shoot it and be happy.

Anytime bro. Best of luck to you. Hope this helps. Shadow 2 and Stock 2 are both great options. Dont worry about not shooting flat if your thinking about the 40 minor. Go for it.....AND it will help you with the close calls on Aplha Charle lines lol. It will shoot nice and soft and flat because your shoot a heavy bullet really slow. Kinda similar to 147 grain 9mm but better.

Not necessary for speed practical shooting we do in USPSA. It does help with pre travel buuuuut I dont really care about that because in our sport we are slapping the trigger and not coming off all the way. I do not ride the reset nor come all the way off the trigger to notice a difference.

At the Western PA sectionals i was at we had 30 yard miny poppers and for those I see my sights and add pressure to the trigger until it goes bang. Some people like riding the wall but I dont ride a wall anymore because it slows you down in this sport.

I just posted what i have in mine brother.@MemphisMechanic correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I cant purchase anything else to make it better than what it is.
Yes I have spent a lot of time inside my gun, a lot of surfaces in there are mirrored. i wet sand in steps from 800 to 2500 grit, sometimes 3000 before polishing in some cases. I bought the gun used and the previous owner had nearly destroyed it. so I have learned a lot about tanfo internals and functions on my journey since it was a paperweight with several missing parts when I unboxed it. As a matter of fact watching your videos allowed me to see that years later, I'm still actually missing parts.
I wasn't expecting to get much more beyond "if you want to shoot production just buy a 9mm," so thank you all for the great feedback.
As far as you going to weather I think you're insane but hope it's working our for you. Do you still have your Stock 3 you did up?

Tell him which parts you put in your gun. Always good to hear various build lists and the results.
You get as much pull quality “smooth as glass” from hours behind the buffer and/or dremel polishing things as you do from the springs in a tanfoglio.
Very different from the striker-gun world I went back to (Walther PPQ / Q5) where there’s not much to polish and springs are all the weight difference.
Stock 2 parts and internals.
-Stripped completley down and polished following Memphis Mechanic videos
- reduced power trigger spring
- reduced power sear spring
- reduced power #18 Henning plunger spring
- BOLO disconnector (not necessary/ will NOT do on my next Stock 2 I purchase)
-EAA one piece sear (long number 9.1)
-15.5 patriot defense hammer spring
-patriot defense firing pun spring
And this is all you need approx 100 bucks or so and you have a nice crisp reliable trigger.

I'll tell you this. I literally just got home from my morning range session with my standard Stock 2.

That might mean that they are prettier and have a trigger job only, or it might mean something different, dunno.
And after following@MemphisMechanic videos a 100 bucks I CAN guarantee you that my trigger is way better than an extreme model. I have 1100 into my Stock 2 with a 5.5# DA and 1.75# SA that fires Winchester Primers flawlessly.
I have 15K through my new stock 2 that I got March of this year and have not looked back.
OP do yourself a favor and save your money by purchasing a standard model over the Extreme version.

I dont know first hand but I have been to a couple major matches and have found a few people who shoot .40 minor through a Stock 2. IMHO stock 2 extreme vs a regular Stock 2 your not getting much. You are still going to have to do a trigger job on the Extreme model.
As far as the Cajunized CZ again I feel that they leave alot to desire. I know of alot of guys who did their own trigger job and the trigger were far superior to Cajun for ALOT less.
I think you'll be happy with a Reg Stock 2 in .40 and run minor ammo. I have heard it is very soft and flat shooting.

That's awesome brother. Glad to hear it. I was supposed to help Greg Soucie out for the classifier match but I had work so I was not able to make that match.
I feel you! Lately the only shooting I get done is at matches, if I can make them.
Ran the BSPS rig for the first time this weekend, live fire practice Saturday afternoon and again for the classifier match at Granby. I absolutely loved it. Just needed to loctite the Boss hanger cant adjustment Saturday night and it ran great!
Seriously wish I picked one up sooner. Small 19 person match, with very limited competition in Production but I came out on top, between all 6 stages I averaged out high C class HF.

It's never too late! I appreciate your input! I ended up buying the BSPS Carry Optic Rig with the comptac body. In fact it got delivered last night while I was at work, can't wait to set it up.

@MinutemanNorm , sorry I came to this party late. But I have experience in both setups you are talking about. First Red Hill Holster are garbage. Just my opinion. Here is the reason why. I have one for my tanfo stock 2 and 3 and also one for my glock 34 and m&p pro series. Every one of them (that's 4 holsters) wiggle like crazy. They all rock back and forth not allowing me to get a consistent grip. Yes they "click" into the holster so they wont "fall" out but the mold is trash.
I switched to the Ben Stoeger Boss Unicorn Holster and mount. The Holster is made by LS Holster and I have ordered other through their website since. Their molds are precise and perfect fit for each Firearm. They dont rock inside at all and the tension is none for competition (after the stage tighten the screws and you're good to go).
Mag pouches: I had the ghost 360 ones and they are nice alot of people like them. I traded them for a second set or the CR Speed pouches. I like these the best so far. For production their is no reason to get the DAA pouches. They are nice but alot of the top shooters are running CR Speed and Ghost. If you like bullets forward I would suggest cr speed but if you like bullets out then ghost is your option.

Dumb question is did he leave it in long enough to clean all of it? Could be that the ones that are clean didnt need as much time in the tumbler to clean it.
If you are like me and pick up outside range brass that's about 100 years old then I need to tumble it much longer than once fired freshly picked up brass the same day.

Someone telling you that you should load shorter, when what you have loaded is working well, is doing you a disservice.
If you are loading plated berrys or FML then 1.15 should work in a CZ or Tanfo....if he is running coated bullets like alot of us then what I have found in my CZs and Tanfos 1.15 OAL stick when doing the plunk/push/spin test. I also had to load short at 1.09 in my Tanfo.
It is not a disservice at all....you must test you own loads. He was simply helping the guy out by giving his personal experience. And I know CZs quality control is amazing and barrels are pretty darn close to being the same within each gun so his findings should be the same as what@je85 has found. If it is not I would be surprised if the plunk test he is doing is actually correct.

Yes, you sure can modify it how ever you see fit. In the new production rules you can change any mag release to an aftermarket or factory or even make your own.I've recently started using the tanfo custom mag catch, as I just can't reliably release the mag without it, (unless I run thin grips which I also dislike). However it's too big and lately I've been inadvertently dropping a mag, particularly after a reload if my grip is just a little off. I know the aftermarket mag catches are good to go under the new production rules, but is it okay to modify an aftermarket catch? I'm going to grind away some of the excess material if so. I wish someone would make an adjustable paddle like on the Shadow 2.
