  1. Yes I saw that. Might simply pick up some N340 as the LFN at 160gr shows min/max range of 974 - 1107fps. Using the same powder would be nice, but of course safety is most important for me. Cheers
  2. Hi All, Thanks in advance for any help. I'm new to reloading and have done what seems like a lot of searching to try to find an N320 load with a 160 gr cast/bayou bullet which will get up to 1000fps. It'll be shot from a SW 686 4" and for fun out of a 3" K6s Kimber (.357). The higher velocity loads on the VV site for a LFN, 160gr omits the N320 powder option, though the max. loads for their N340 (5.8gr) and N350 (6.1gr) powders show velocities of 1107 and 1077 respectively. As I have 4lbs of N320 I'd much rather use what I have if I can safely do so. Thanks, Steve
  3. Hi All, As I didn't see this in posts when I was searching, in case someone's ever looking for a specific model to order online that fits the 929 moon clips, this one fits 32 very nicely. Plano Shallow Prolatch Stowaway 5-34 Cheers, Steve
  4. Awesome, thanks Neil for the great info. I’ll see if I can track down that research in the posts as well as how any work on the trigger may or may not effect class in various competitions. As of now I stocked up on some factory Federal American Eagle 124gr ammo. Thanks and enjoy your holidays ! Steve
  5. Thanks guys will wok on the dry fires and consider sending out for work. Haven't researched yet, so am sorry to ask something maybe been said thousands of times, but how do the factory ammo fire after the trigger jobs? Seems like most refer to reload ammo, but for a good while I expect to be shooting factory. Thanks, Steve
  6. Hi All, For reference in case anyone else is or will be looking for reference examples of the 929 with wood grips, here's mine with new Altamont Target Conversion (checkered and engraved) grips. Just picked up the gun today and love it, though the DA trigger does seem a bit heavy on the first couple hundred rounds at the range today. Tempted to get the trigger job sooner than later. Cheers, Steve
