Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Just wanted to say that Angus got back to me - he had been at the Nationals. He is a REAL stand-up guy. It is always a pleasure to interact with an honest and genuine person. Thanks Angus.
  2. That's why I use baby shampoo. Seriously, I did use baby shampoo as antifog when I used to dive almost on a daily basis. +2 Baby shampoo is what I used to use when I was diving too! Worked just as well as the more expensive stuff - like 500psi. I used to buy it in travel sized 3oz bottles, and just kept a bottle in a zip lock in my dive bag. Hmmph, forgot about that. I will have to throw my old bottle in my range bag now. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for the advice Chris.Decided to go with the Ghost holster. Adjustments seemed easier - (doesn't use shims for cant adjustment like the JR Macro) and resale value where I am is better. Plus found a reputable store that had it for $25 less NIB. I got the Ghost holster from CEDHK - (ghost holster) for $125.95+shipping. Great price, FANTASTIC customer support. CEDHK responded to emails almost immediately. When I told them it was a rush order, they pulled the order from the Web individually and generated the USPS shipping label within the hour. Belt and pouches I got from JR Holster. JR Holster Canada stood by their pricing. Even put together a personal eBay auction with the size I wanted, etc. Email responses were VERY quick and very helpful. The JR pouches appear to have the best of all worlds. Dual rollers for better tension adjustment and smoothness, yet are not magazine specific, so they will work with Glock, Beretta, SVI, etc. They were used to win the modified category in the team shoot at Worlds in Ecuador so... This Indian will be using arrows that fly straight, even if he can't shoot straight! Thank you all for your help, guidance and advice. Not looking for any huge improvement over what I have now, just that the kydex I have is broken and superglued together, so... If I am going to replace it, replace it with what I will eventually need as I move up the classes. Positive thinking and visualization! I can't wait to get the gear and start dryfiring in earnest. I have my 25yd practice space and full size IPSC targets ready and waiting. Plan to do some walking around the house, etc with the Ghost and unloaded firearm; make sure that I am comfortable with it before trying it out in a match. DQ due to dropping out is not my idea of fun.
  4. So the pouches are MORE expensive than CR speeds? Thats not what I was quoted - from JR Holster Canada though. US $18 per pouch JR Holster Canada sells on ebay as k6irf eBay profile - click on Items for sale on left side They sell the complete kit for US$220 Thanks everyone for the feedback. I have been unable to get Angus at ghost products for days - on the phone or via email, so... I am off to JR Holster and will give them a try.
  5. Just to let you all know that it is now back in stock at MidWay.Ordered one. I don't shoot pistol often enough to worry about wearing out a reasonablly good bag. Although if I DO manage to wear this one out I look forward to one of Chucks bags. Thanks all for recommending, reviewing and comparing the bags.
  6. I know this is an old thread, but... Can anyone report back on their JR setup? Especially how it has held up over time? If the Ghost/CR Speed setup is built THAT much better, then its worth the extra $100 to me. But I wouldn't mind saving the $100 on a good rig that will last. I'm not really into brand names. Thanks for any feedback.
