The Vogel grip but not so high on support hand side. If your left hand interferes with the slide movement it can cause a malfunction.

I would practice both. If there was one target on left, one on right, and you needed to move forward after that it would be faster to rotate hips/knees. If there were multiple targets on both sides I would rotate hips/knees during left string, then pivot your feet and repeat for target string on right.

I am not a fan of arms straight out and really don't think it has more bearing on shooting like your wrist and elbows. Arms straight out tend to roll your elbows in which makes your grip tighten on the bottom of the frame. Arms slightly bent and rolling your elbows up/out tends to tighten the grip on the top of the frame (where the fulcrum point is during recoil). Locking your non-firing wrist will have significant effects on muzzle rise/recoil control and makes faster follow-up shots.

Shoot a few matches with each division and pick whichever one where you have the most fun. I ran limited for a few months then tried CO. Before the rule change with ammo capacity I was consistently faster with CO and had more fun with it. So i switched and now will probably starting looking at open as well.

Do a Glock 35. Spend $30 on the spring kit. $20 on a stippling head and stipple it yourself. All you need is a wood burning pen and a dremel. Watch a few youtube videos and take your time. I taught myself and have stippled over 20 guns for other people. The stipple head turns a 2 hour job into 20 mins. Spend $80 on some sights and you are good to go. When you go to competitions and see other guns ask the owner if you can check it out. Then you can decide if you want to drop a lot of money on a 2011 or whatever.

Practice with both eyes open. When you feel your non dominate eye fighting briefly blink it and concentrate with your dominate (shooting) eye. This helped me learn to shoot with both eyes open. Also, pay attention to what you are focusing on. i.e. Target, front sight, rear sight, etc.
Eventually you will not have to do the blink anymore to refocus.

If the targets are on your left/right, turn trailing foot towards target on step to take shot. Target on left, left foot is trailing and turns towards target. So, I know I want to take the shot, my left foot gets rotated towards target while I step with it, right foot keep straight and takes step. All this only happens on one step. Everything returns to normal after that step. This technique just helps to align your body with the target and keep shooting posture as close to normal as possible while maintaining momentum.
Or you can drag your trailing foot. I mean ever so briefly. Only happens right as you are taking your shots. You are able to continue without stopping completely but still have 2 points of contact with the ground.
Or just walk around with a glass of water on your head.

Started with an RMR07, 6.5MOA dot. I switched to a Vortez Razor 6MOA dot style. The RMR would cut off at times, even with the plate insert. You have to take it off to change the battery. The Vortex was cheaper, bigger FOV, and changing the battery is super easy. The tray just slides out.

I used to run the muffs but during the summer my ears get super hot. I switched to the surefire insert style. Both are connected with a cord. They work great and I can still hear pretty well. For under $20 its not a bad option to try.

Do they have to be tactical tan? I would go with Salomon boots. They are super lightweight and comfortable. Even the mid size XDs provide good ankle support. The speed lacing is awesome. You never have to tie your boots or have them come untied.

Regularly check the allen key that holds the pin. They will loosen up over time. Especially if you run a magazine well like a Zev that contacts the pin on every reload. You can loose the allen key, insert the mag which will push it to the correct spot for that maxwell. As long as it still holds the magazine in place then you should be good to tighten down.

Titegroup is good. Meters pretty well.
Clays shoots softer but meters like dog poo. But, I actually like Clays over Titegroup because it shoots noticebly softer.
Both are pretty accurate with 147gr RN plated.

I have a pair and they are great. I have also had the Speedcross 3. Cant tell much difference between them other than color design. They don't come untied. They are the only shoes I wear for range/competition.

New to the forum. I shoot USPSA in limited and carry optic with Glock 34s. Also do some 3gun. I have done a few competitions and started reloading as well. Also have my own range which is pretty cool.
