  1. On Pat's coment about Feel

I think - That when a 1-6 Razor is mounted on a good gun - "the better Feel" - when its shot comes from the better eye relife / forgivness of the 1-6 Razor.

Every time someone shoots my gun they say it has "Something better in the feel" Granted most of that is the JP setup includeing the the captured buffer spring. Guys with the same setup get a look on their face , that my gun seems smoother.

Durring recoil your not seeing the reticle move around as much with other scopes. so the feedback off seeing hits on steel and the closer shots on paper is one that the gun is smother.

<_< just my thoughts, and observations, But I see "That Look" on the face of every one that gets a chance to test the setup.

I think evey round shot like that in my gun , Sells a JP rifle and a Vortex scope. Word of mouth is a powerfull tool.

  2. What's the 2" rule?

USPSA rules say for limited the mags and gun must be no more than 2" from the inside of the belt. = Don't worry about it

Chris = If your worried about it , Hook one of the mags -Redneck style- inside the belt. not too bad if your not running very far.

  3. Guncontrol act of 1968 , I remeber in 1969 my Dad stocked up , But I don't remember a big problem with ammo. In 1994 Primers got very hard to get , but projectiles were still available in the quanites I was buying. Mags went up in price, and most every one went over budget on buying.

in 1993 I remeber an expserianced shooter telling me "Competition Shooting will not last three more years"

I think now with instant information on the internet no one bothers to look for the Sun Rise in the sky. They just check the intrenet log to tell them what time Sun rise is.

  4. Sorry I missed a post on Buckshot. I spent Thursday night and all day Friday in the hospital hooked up to all kinds of machines and monitors. Bad news...I broke the toilet tank with my head when I passed out. Good news, Doctors could not find anything wrong with me after about $20K of tests. Dehydrated and overstressed is about as good as they could figure.

Buckshot, you can use what you want, but I won't be using Flite Control. Normal 00 should be fine, maybe #1 or #4 if you want to get greedy.

Dang! you gotta take care of your self brother

  5. A friend of mine is has a new line of glasses. that are better than 1/2 the cost of Rudy glasses. I do love the Rudy photocromatic clear for most 3 gun.

    But!

I have had great results with this new line Action Time Eyeware This set comes with three lenses. smoke -yellow and Clear.

$120 for the set with a nice case The glasses are a very good value

I am running the clear this is the link http://actiontimeeye...change/intruder

  6. I copied this from post #25

I personally don't like the idea of 3-gun classifiers.

I certainly don't want to shoot a classifier at a major match! If I'm paying "the big bucks" of a major match I want unique and fun stages not cookie cutter, run of the mill stages.

The only way the Classifiers will get any foundation of credibility is for them to be included in the Major matches. My guess / sugetion (even though I don't like it ) is for 3Gun Nation to make a firm request that one of the 3GN clasifiers be included in the events sponsored by 3GN.

That would not be bad - IF ! - it was an extra stage to the match posibly ran by voluntiers from 3GN. They could use the stage with a sign up table promotion for 3GN So that way the match gets one more stage ready to go with voluntiers to bring the targets set it up and run the stage. The Proverbial Win -Win. the shooters get one more stage to fill the wait before a stage that would normaly cause a back up. The Paper GM/M would have a feel good stage to pracitce for if they wanted to. The shooters that arn't comited to spend the kids collage fund to attend events out of state would have a score & stage to measure up to.

I attend a bunch of events, But my kids are grown and older than most of the shooters beating me at the events. Hell I have shirts older than many of the shooters beating me at events.

  7. Its a human nature thing, And I think it will be very sucsessful. But Its not for me. And like USPSA the most valuable people to the sport are not at the top level.

A classifier has never produced a champion, but they do serve to provide a "Basic Skill level" for the games. And a list of "must have" skill sets for mid level shooters, when compared to what a Top shooter can do.

So long as the great matches don't get more pressure to -Dumb Down- the event I see it like Mr Kelly = its a win - win

  8. I don't remember who made them But they were called "Companions" used in over and under like a Sub gauge tube set. The Tube sets are full barrel length and have a screw in choke. You could have your nice ballanced 12 gauge and drop in tubes and shoot the gun gauge event is 20 28 and 410 I have a full set for my wifes gun

Well the Companion set was short just about 8" long that set in the 12 gauge chamber . Never heard of a set for an auto though.

I have a very nice 28 gauge Skeet model if you get an itch.

  9. I remember my grandfather showing me how to put a hook in to a crawdad. He let it pinch the inside paulm of his hand while he pushed the hook in. I remember his hand filling up with blood from the crawdad pinching him.
