  1. Hello all,

We are trying to get enough shooters together to bring Max and Travis to south Louisiana for a 2 day class on Sept. 23 and 24. The fee is $500 a shooter and we have a few slots still available. Please PM me if interested....

  2. Where can I find 9mm mags for the M&P?

    Thanks in advance. Dave

I called S&W and got .40 mags when none were available anywhere else that I could find. Even if you back order some I had a buddy get some in about a week...

  3. Let the games begin. Cheers,

I have to agree. If we didn't want every possible advantage, we would leave stock sights, and factory triggers on production guns too. It seems ridiculous to me but I've seen a glock modified with a toothpick in place to improve the trigger.

As long as there is a score sheet involved we have to get every edge we can get to be competitive, or we can sit back and shoot, and not be concerned with the score, but that's really not in human nature. The powers that be have decided what is legal, and if we don't like it we can either vote them out, take their jobs and do better ourselves, design something better on our own, or even worse, don't play the game. We play in the parameters that they set.

  4. Step 1. Tie balloons to car.

Step 2. Drive like a bat out of hell....

Step 3. Watch people freak out !!!!

Too freakin' cool... Please tell me where to get some of those!!!

  5. Due to the posts and the articles I've read I ordered a left handed DOH today to give it a try. Is it necessary to get the TEK-LOK attatchment? I really couldn't discern the info from the guy on the phone, and they said it would take 6-7 weeks to get it. Plenty of time to adjust the order if necessary.

  6. For those not familiar with South Louisiana, that is a way of living for lots folks, and they give everyone else a bad name.

We have a lot of shooters here who lost everything, and they have been jumping at the chance to "get started". It's a sad state of affairs.

It's really good to see a few of our folks back on the range...

  7. Has anybody caught a glimpse of a show on MTV where they get these guys to show up and try to beat really strange personal records? It would be neat to see them try reloads, triple sixes, or Jerry's revolver feats. The general public has no clue of what we do, but I still feel we have to try to educate them as much as possible. I know we won't win them over, but maybe we can slow the flow of dis-information...

  8. Maybe a new idea for the dropped primers.

Remove the spring clip that holds the primer cup, and build up the lips of the cup with JB weld, epoxy, or whatever you have. I did this a while back to mine and it works great.

  9. Most clubs here in Louisiana on the weekend matches give out $20 to high overall in each division if there are at least 5 or more competitors per category. The winners of divisions get ribbons for M,A,B,(down to third place) and so on if there are a set # of competitors in that class. Nobody is getting rich, but it can at least buy lunch and it is a way to recognize someone in the other classes as well.

  10. DQ, unsafe gun handling. There is no room for "benefit of the doubt" when it comes to safety. We often forget what a round can do if it's released in the wrong direction. The shooter learns a lesson and hopefully everyone learns from it.

What if the next time he does the same thing with a start position facing uprange? We have to be responsible for every round we fire.

  11. I may be a little weird but as a lefty I shoot most stages like a righty anyway because I see it as an advantage to be as ambidextrous as possible in this game. As long as I can reach it I can do it, and the righties I squad with here always notice that I can shoot right to left/left to right equally.

Train on what's hard to do, make your weakness a strength.
