Me thinks it's sad that we have to create an unsafe environment to fix this. The only thing you can do is run over or past the RO.
As for Arbs. It's really really important that you word them correctly. Though in this case, this should have been handled by the RM at the stage. As for a conversation on the clock, that is not wise on the part of the shooter, but if the RO says anything other than "stop" or "if" then it's interference.

This is what I used: Camry 200 Lbs / 90 Kgs Digital Hand Dynamometer Grip Strength Measurement Meter Auto Capturing Hand Grip Power

My opinion is that you should have them adopt their normal firing grip, tell them to squeeze like they would if they were shooting, then take measurements for both left hand and right hand. Your overall grip strength won't be as good of an indicator as the amount of pressure that you actually apply while you are shooting. I believe what you want to measure is their productive application of force, not their total contractile potential. In order to measure productive application of force, you need to introduce technique...which in this case is their normal firing grip.
Impossible test to perform. One GM open shooter had a "shooting grip" strength of 26# whereas mine was 80# others tested between 40-90. I don't think anyone could duplicate the actual grip strength used while shooting. I did find some guys who were skinny runts had very strong total grip strength compared to others. I maxed out at 94, one dude was a 168. Amazing.

I got me a digital grip tester, I'm at 90# on the weak hand and 86# on the strong hand. according to the charts that came with the device, that's an average grip. I'm only a M class shooter, I will take this thing to the match tomorrow and get the GM's to squeeze one out. Will there be an over/under wager for this test, on whether they have stronger grips?

I learned everything I needed to know from Matt Burkett.

Please post a photo of this! None of my SV's are staked anywhere.

Outstanding! You are setting the bar high!
-
a quad load on the shotgun would have been the shiz! Hard to keep up with the body count.
-
I work in a kitchen and have "manly" hands and still found the aggressive to be more than I can handle.
I like the micropockets on my open gun and use the skateboard tape on my carry gun.
-
I am so looking forward to this match!

VS set the bar for magazine reliability.

It's a personal preference. This isn't an open gun. Carry optics can go either way. The designers of the CORE and MOS designed the gun to co-witness. Obviously the optic mounted will dictate the need for irons or not. I have 3 M&P with dots, two are co-witness. One is a bastard child for 3 gun.
-
to each their own. but for some the co-witness with the iron sights is a plus.

I have a SV with interchangable breachface. 9 bushing for IDPA and 40 bull for USPSA, I don't mess with the sights. been working great for 10 years.
I also have 2 barrels for my open gun, one is full on 38SC with comp and the other is a 9 with vent rib for steel. SV rocks!

They make their own springs as far as i know. They also cut the skater terrain gripc in house.
-
When you put mattburkett in this list, you discredit the rest. And not a one on that list cuts their own slide in house that i know of.
-
might as well kill the thread. to each their own. kool aid has wonderful properties.

If the screw in the breach face screw is loose, that is a maintenance issue. As for the chip in the slide, that's a new one on me. I'd like to see the ejector, was it the originally installed one? can't see it in the pictures. That's a not contact area so what do you think could have caused that chip?
I think the trigger poundage is set at the customer's request, but I could be wrong.

I have a SVI from a customer, 5.4" wich I have to swap the steel grip to a polymer STI grip...
All the SVI's that I've had in the shop have light triggers... with creep. I'm a bullseye/PPC shooter we work the trigger instead of jurking the trigger...
I did some shots with the SVI and the screw that holds the breachface broke... done shooting
the gun is with a bushing barrel... for a pistol of that price the bushing must be tight! this one is to loose, I can turn and remove it by putting my vingertip in it...
also the slide/frame fit is not bad but not tight, the barrel has some play in the slide...
a small piece of the slide just above the extractor is broken off
so I'm not that impressed with this SVI, is not a bad gun but I have seen better for the price. there must be a reason u don't see them on bullseye/bianchi cup
Sounds like someone has tinkered with that one or it has a very high round count, because I can assure you it didn't leave the factory with any of those issues. If you read about their barrel bushing you might understand that it doesn't have to be Les Baer tight to lock up properly and give the accuracy needed.
I would bet High round count and poor maintenance. I would like to see pictures of the slide out of curiousity.

Since it's impossible to be PC, dump all classifications and categories.
This goes back to the "if you beat 5 people you are a national champion" type award. ridiculous to try and separate everyone out, just shoot and have fun.
