  1. This is a great thread.  I've read it 3x so far.

Any other thoughts on best setup...particularly sear, hammer and disco?

Those who have changed the bushing, would you recommend it?

  2. Finally got my Shadow 2...by forgetting my deposit at the LGS and getting one from GB.  Didn't get the blue one as I had ordered but got it for about $150 less NIB.  Now I finally get to join everyone who's been shooting theirs for months.  Ack.

  3. If Proactive Defense was open on Monday and it didn't cost $125 a month, I probably wouldn't even have posted the question here.  The location is ideal.  The range rules are ideal.  I haven't talked to them yet but I will ask them some questions...maybe it's the perfect place and I just don't know it yet.

In the meantime, keep the ideas coming.  Thanks!

  4. That location is a strong consideration.  One thing I don't like is the hours are kind of strange...

Monday: Closed, Tuesday and Wednesday: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, Thursday and Friday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 am – 6:00pm

There are 3 levels of membership but I need to call and get some clarity...

    Patriot Membership:
$40 a month, includes one complimentary lesson with one of our highly qualified & skilled firearms instructors. (This is a $75 value.)
    $10/hour range fee

    Frequent Shooter Membership:
    $65 a month
    5 complimentary - $10/hour range fee waived

    Most members favorite...Elite Membership:
    $125 a month
Unlimited range time, no range fees

  5. I'm looking for a range that will allow running drills, drawing from holster, rapid fire, etc.  I really miss having open desert, gravel pits, etc where you can setup to practice whatever you want.  I've researched quite a bit in the DFW area and most ranges don't allow any of this or there are a few clubs that are either private with a long waitlist to join or it's over $100 monthly in fees.

What are my options for running live fire drills in DFW?  I live in Roanoke (north Ft Worth) at 35 and 114 by the racetrack.  Thanks!

  6. I'm still waiting on my blue Shadow 2 to arrive.  My deposit for one was made months ago on an order of 7 guns coming to a CZ dealer.  Projected delivery was May 3.  Dealer is trying to get updates from CZ.  I have no issues with the dealer.  CZ hasn't impressed me with how they've handled delivery of this version.  Other comments here seem to concur.

  7. I really liked the first one.  I really did NOT like the 2nd one.  It had this weird vibe without a lot of sound or music.  It came across very oddly produced and mixed to me.  I was surprised by that.  It's a cool story that should have been handled better.  I think the character is played well by Cruise but the 2nd one came up really short.

According to an industry website..."Jack Reacher earned $80m domestic and $218m worldwide on a $60m budget back in 2012, but Jack Reacher: Never Go Back has earned $58m domestic and $146m worldwide thus far on the same budget. It’s not a super flop, but we’re probably not going to get a Jack Reacher 3."

  8. It's been interesting to talk to gun shops across the country that do a lot of CZ biz.  There's not a lot of clarity on shipping dates unless the guns are already enroute.  I look forward to mine sometime in the next couple of months.

  9. I've been curious what the early adopters would change on their Shadow 2's.  I'm looking forward to getting mine when it arrives in about 2 months (hopefully less).

What kind of round count on these new guns so far?  Any issues or is most of this preventative, customizing to your taste, etc?
